I’ll be there in updates mode shortly - I’ll
be cavorting with the enemy pre match as I await a Ton pal arriving. He’s no getting a cuppa tea though!
Let’s keep the momentum going Pars - we’re
4 pts clear of the wee team and our visitors today but we can’t get complacent. Two games in hand also but we need to win those as well.
Please post the team lines if ye get them afore me thanks.
3 points please Pars!

This 352 doesn`t seem to work at home vs teams who sit in but he keeps playing it. Very easy for Morton today watching us passing around the back

Same old story, we dont have the quality or creativity to break down teams who come with game plan to sit in with men behind the ball and try hit us on the counter attack.

Our choice at free kicks is a head scratcher, last chance of the half and we choose to p*** around with it rather than put it in box, everything is just a safe pass at the moment.

Yes TAFKA and Nick, it makes us too slow and ponderous in getting forward. We look better with the extra width in the 442 and get it forward far more quickly.

And we need to do better with the chances when we get them
Let`s hope we can turn this around 2nd half

Those last 4 games which include the top 3 still have me a wee bit worried but we`re in a great position right now. Even if we dont succeed in the playoffs it will give us massive amounts of confidence next season.

Thoroughly deserved win today.
First half we had chances that we didn’t take. Goal lost with their only real chance that I can remember. Bit slow last 10 minutes of the half. Not one to be arsed about booing but the boos at HT were unnecessary.
Second half early goal helped settle us down again. Good ball and good finish. Good to get a relatively quick second then the third was nice work again. Allowed us to make subs with this busy period coming up. Really good day for us.

My Ton pal said his team just fell away after their goal. I said I thought they put in a couple of good crosses but there appeared to be no one there picking them up.
We were immense in the second half. The speed of Kane, Todd and Cooper was great to see. When we equalised I knew then we were going to win it. Much better support to each other. I like Fraser too. He has each wing covered and his passing to Cooper is good.
I felt the ref was poor to the plight of Andy Tod though ~ he was constantly fouled and definitely had the muckiest strip!
On to Tuesday night, away to Somerset Park and hopefully another 3 points.

I felt we were unlucky to go in a goal down at half-time with the chance Kane had then the header off the bar from Ngwenya. Although, admittedly, Oxborough made a smart save from Moffatt.
For our first goal, Matty has put in a peach of a ball and it is a really clever finish from Tod.
From there, our tempo was really good and we worked the channels well.
Matty maybe should have scored before he did but felt it was a brilliant save from the keeper.

Thought we were excellent today and even when we went a goal down, I wasn’t worried although I can’t believe the boos at Half Time. WTF?? Do you have to be winning now or you get boo’d? Absolutely nonsense.
Some of our play was exceptional and on another day we could have been out of sight before Half Time, but we stuck at it Second Half and cut Morton open, so much so that for a good 10 minute spell, I thought they looked shell shocked.
The conditions were awful, the sort of game that the subs probably didn’t want to join in and the players on the park, just wanted to get off it, but I thought we were professional throughout.
I thought Main was going to be the thorn in our side at one point, I thought he had an excellent First Half for Morton, and he looked like he was getting the better of Ngwemya & Abdualai, but thankfully he never got a sniff in the Second Half and, stamp on Abdualai aside, did nothing of note.
First hurdle of our big games cleared and the lads can hold their heads high. Genuinely think that if we keep this going, it could be a fantastic finish to the season.
MOTM had to be Matty Todd for me, but no doubt that Andy and others put in a great shift

I can understand the booing... although we had 2 or 3 chances to lead, we also had a period of Tidser ball where we struggled to get forward while passing around the back. When someone got space, the pass wasn`t the best and ultimately lost possession...
The response after half time though was brilliant. Good early goal, it felt like Matty really didn`t want to make thebrun down the line, but the crowd really encouraged him on, he did it and played a superb ball for Tod who excels in that front post run.
After that we looked in command, a quick second, and the third was the icing on the cake. There`s been times this season where we wouldve lost that game after going a goal down, so that extra belief we can bring it back will help massively

Surprised at the boos at half time too unless they were directed at the ref? Never seen a ref have such poor positioning, seemed to be in the way of play constantly.
A very classy second half display. It’s great to see despite our very weakened front line that our team play is strong enough to carve out some good goals. Our CMs are just pure class as well.
Such a great position to be in versus a year ago when you’d check the lineup and if Kane was absent then all hope would vanish before a ball was even kicked.

Wee bit of Tod and Todd confusion in preceding posts. Maybe a few Toddies too much.
But that was a brill result. Keeps the momentum going. Maybe JCM shrugged when their
Goal went in because he knew we had it in the tank to turn it around.

It`s been said many times on here that the first goal is vital in this League and that`s generally the case, but it`s not so vital if you have a team capable of carving out chances and taking them.

How good do those wee sprints from the centre circle before the 1st and 2nd half whistle look tho?!
I`ve never paid attention, but apart from Celtic doing their wee huddle, every other team mooches onto the pitch, wanders in the general direction of their position, and shuffles around waiting for kickoff.
Having the guys do a couple of sprints together makes them look focused and sharp.

I thought 1st half the tempo was way too slow which made us look predictable and easy to play against. And the period of Tidser ball was mainly down to Morton’s shape which was not getting stretched enough. Way too many safe passes.
2nd half was much more enjoyable, much better tempo and movement and the chances came.

Team talk at halftime certainly worked!
Cooper picks up some excellent positions dropping into little pockets of space looking to receive the ball but must be so bloody frustrating to see it constantly getting shifted sideyways and not picking him out. Second half was like they finally saw he was there.
Great second half all round. Thought we had another couple of goals in us too; Morton really seemed to fall to pieces once they brought on that right sided defender as a sub, albeit were already 2-1 behind by then.

Great effort to come back and play so well second half, might well be the first time in my many decades watching the Pars that at 1 down I’ve not felt fatalistic and actually believed it’s not over (except maybe the Calderwood years when we might come back - or we might lose 3 more).

The boos were not directed at the ref. There were quite a few nuggets in the Norrie going berserk in the 1st half because they thought we were too laboured in the build up. While that may have been the case, certainly didn`t merit the booing. Didn`t hear them complaining at the end.

It was interesting to hear Paul Lambert`s thoughts on the booing at the Scotland v Ivory Coast match during the week. Although he acknowledged it was a relatively recent phenomenon he also thought it was cultural. He played for Borussia Dortmund of course and still visits Germany to watch matches. He said he`d never heard fans booing their teams there.
