DAFCLive have a message saying "coming soon" for today`s home game against The Honest Men. If you click for more info there is conflicting information - on the one hand surprisingly there is text saying this match will not be screened (and its a home game!!!) and on the other hand there is a link saying available to purchase so I assume the message saying the game won`t be screened is a software error. It is odd that I am being shown a link to purchase the game when I am already signed in and have an international season pass. Surely I should get to a holding page advertising the game and advising me that streaming will commence at say 2.45pm or something like that. I suspect these issues are just continuing software teething problems with the billing and connection to stream process. Let`s hope that a clickable link will appear closer to kick off to take Season subscribers and montly pass holders to the game. I got in easily last game but I think Oz had a problem. I must say the lack of information about the service and how to use it is surprising. They also have now had a few weeks to sort out the payment and linking to stream glitches. The streams themselves have been good so far with better replays and commentary and hopefully they can get the front end of their software sorted and working seamlessly soon.

I agree with RhinoPars. If you are logged in, and an international season long subscriber, you should be presented with accurate information. Hopefully these kind of issues get resolved sooner rather than later.

Currently working abroad, bought a month pass last month… logged in today, went in to the match page, it offered to sell me a season pass or a month pass…. Bought the month pass again…. Still in the same boat. Very frustrating. They need to sort this out, it isn’t good enough.
If they can’t get it right then they should bin it and bring back pars tv.
The lack of support, live chat or email link is very annoying also.
I just want to watch the games I’ve paid for.

I`ve no clue, but that`s two people mentioned having VPNs turned on. Could it be it`s set up to detect if someone is using a VPN and blocking them to prevent people in the UK using it? People abroad shouldn`t need a VPN to view, only to stop the government accessing your data 🕴️

Why, as a club, do we seem incapable of making improvements that actually work for the fans? The website, streaming service and the quality of the club attire all leave plenty to be desired.
This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Stream and quality of service was excellent from 18th minute onwards. Commentary, camera work and replays all streets ahead of the previous service, if we are honest. It`s obviously not good enough to miss the first quarter of the game but I`ll judge them in a few weeks time
Let`s move on from discussing patstv. It was consistently incredibly frustrating. I`m confident the new service will be much better.

If the club`s provider is Urban Zoo, it is difficult to understand the difficulty in getting the stream live to overseas Pars fans who had already paid for a season long pass. 18 minutes into the game before the live stream becomes available. What is going on behind the scenes? Is it actually Urban Zoo or an entity sub-contracted by Urban Zoo?
I really hate having my chain yanked by endless attempts at trying to connect etc.

The stream worked fine for me - for the full match.
I suspect there are a few different issues at play for others. For example:
If you are on holiday from the UK and are using mobile data, then the connection is routed via the UK. As a result, DAFCTV would think you are in the UK.
Since Urban Zoo provide this service for larger clubs, I would think they have some type of block on using VPNs. I imagine this block only applies to the streaming of the match, rather than the purchasing of the subscription. Meaning some people are able to buy a subscription, but blocked from watching.
There could also be something to do with cookies. I regularly use a VPN to access IPlayer and other such services from abroad. If I visited the DAFC site and the VPN made it look like I was in the UK, then that might be stored as a cookie (to prevent the site needing to check my IP address very often). If I then turned the VPN off, the cookie might still be there. (This would also explain why switching to another browser worked for some).
And then there is the usual issue that`s always the case with these things - slower internet, increased latency due to distance, older equipment, slower equipment, and so on.

Agree with above. I had the same issue as many others in that the service wasn`t recognising my previous sub and wanted me to buy another but rebooting laptop and resetting VPN to refresh IP address had me on stream 6 minutes before kick off.
Gutting for those that didn`t get on but just trying to confirm that there was a working stream for folk who subbed a week ago and were viewing from overseas (from France, not UK pretending I`m in France).
I`ve had tonnes of problems viewing all sorts of content moving between France & UK and different problems affecting different devices (TV, iPad, iPHone & laptop).
TV is always too flakey using whatever crappy browswer is built into the TV software. iPhone/ipad refuses to work propelry with VPN because of the other location services functions it has that the VPN doesn`t just override to spoof the location.
Hopefully if it`s a DAFCLive issue they get it sorted pronto because it`s crap for folk who`ve subbed and can`t see the games.

Once you get in the DAFCLive stream is very good with lots of replays, better camera work and commentary and highlights.
Some of us just use VPNs for security.
When I changed from Chrome to Bing I finally got the stream to work. Unfortunately today the watch from start wasn’t working (it did for previous games.)so I missed the first 18 minutes. Fortunately we got to see replays of Andy Tod’s goal.
However DAFCLive need to get this streaming access problem for paid monthly and annual passes sorted as Chrome is the world’s most used browser. This problem has gone on for too long.

I got the following feedback which suggests that the feed access problem so many of us have been experiencing should hopefully be sorted soon once the DAFCLive app launches .... "We will be discouraging browser viewing going forward, as the app will launch soon, which allows streaming in the app and casting to external devices as well. There are too many browsers and combinations of problems to allow us to troubleshoot every Saturday. Chrome may be the most popular but that doesn`t make it good, it has become a bloatware nightmare in the last few years and it`s support for some streaming codecs is still lacking compared to other browsers."

When I contacted the club about the streaming problem, I was advised there would be a discussion with the relevant background parties to understand what happened.
Aside: I would be happy enough if DAFC Live listed supported browsers. Discouraging browser use is ridiculous.

I took it to mean an app you can run on all platforms - desktop/laptop and phones. It would be ridiculous to only have a phone version.
It is a bit of a lame excuse about the browsers. Fair enough for an obscure browser, but Chrome is the market leader and hence used by most people. Thus a browser version of the system should work on Chrome. There was never a problem accessing feeds on ParsTV from Chrome.
While I am really appreciative and thankful for all the efforts of ParsTV home and away over the years. if DAFCLive can get the subscriber access to streaming issues sorted out the DAFCLive feed itself does appear so far to be an improvement with highlights, more replays, better camera work, better commentary and improved sound balancing between the commentator and co-commentator. Let`s hope the access problems are finally fixed this week.

It does strike me as very weird that....
- it seems to be a constant problem with folk getting on even well before the match..... why isn`t it up and running well before so folk can make sure they can access it?
- is there a user guide about the best things to do (or not do) if problems are encountered? Relying on a Facebook group seems nuts.
- I cannot believe the browser explanation at all.... and if that`s the issue, how is it resolved so quickly.... do they get Google to release an update 18 minutes into the match?
An app might be an alternative but it isn`t the solution to this specific problem. And I fear for the resolution time if that`s the quality and clarity of the responses being provided.

If you sign up to Dunfermline Athletic official website first. On the day that you subscribe you need to sign in first and if you are based in the UK you must have a VPN on and showing that you are in another country. Click on DAFC live and choose a monthly or yearly subscription. This option will not show if you are in the UK without a VPN. On match day sign into the main Dunfermline Athletic website and click on DAFC live and then click on live and follow the prompt to watch the game. I had difficulty with one browser but I use the option on a Amazon fire stick with no issues. I hope this helps you all.

Over a week ago, I offered some practical suggestions as to how it could be improved to make it more professional and user-friendly. Not a peep in response here from the club. Perhaps our owners who are based in the USA may want to have a word or two with Mr Cook about this? For, surely they cannot happy either.
Me? I`m off to China this week to sample the bullet train from Shanghai to Beijing. So no Pars stuff for me. But I would really like to think that this will be sorted out by the time I get back.
Those of us abroad are spending real money to watch the Pars on the internet. So far this season, I have spent more than 200 quid to watch about 50 minutes of football over three games. It is simply not good enough. Okay, I missed the Ross County game, as I had other things to do, and I`ll take RhinoPars word that it was fine, but let`s get the Pars internet presence sorted out. And for goodness sake, remember a lot of us choose to boycott Facebook for good reasons, so don`t choose that as your go-to platform.

DAFCLive plan to cover as many away league matches as possible "subject to the host club providing the facilities required to produce a broadcast".
My guess is they will have coverage for the Livingstone game, but the situation may only become clear an hour or two before kick-off (as was the case with PARStv). I check DAFCLive on Facebook as well as the club`s website.

May be difficult due to gantry space. Livingston have provided alternative space in the stand but angle may not be brilliant from a viewing perspective. With it being within the stand as well, connectivity may become part of the issue too but they probably won`t know until tomorrow.
I will be on site with Livingston but will help DAFC if and when required to try and make sure something is achievable.
The analysts have 90% of the gantry space, with Livingstons camera the other 10%.
Livingston are streaming, but only offer a monthly subscription if Pars can`t get up and running. Other side of that though is you`ll need to listen to me 😂
C'mon Ye Pars!

I am not having any joy here in China I’m afraid. They want me to subscribe again. I think that’s five games I’ve either missed or only saw parts of this season. My days of supporting the Pars may be coming to an end. Frankly, I have had enough.

I got the same thing. They should make it clear that you are signing up for an ongoing subscription rather than a one off.
Apart from anything else, a lot of folk signing up for a month will be doing so because they are on holiday and won`t be able to use the second month.

I don`t see any "purchases" option CAPar.
There is a "subscriptions" option but that just has that old favourite:
"MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON
We will soon be providing you with further information on how to watch exclusive content as well as live streaming of matches"
I just checked my receipt from when I initially signed up and the fee is listed as "DAFC Live - Monthly Pass (International)" which the new one also says.
This language heavily suggests a one-off, with no mention that it is a ongoing subscription anywhere, which feels a bit scammy especially with no clear way to unsubscribe.
Oh, and the "support site" link on the receipt goes to a dead page, which doesn`t help with the scammy feeling.
I might be being thick and missing something obvious (certainly wouldn`t be the first time) but I`m pretty sure I have gone through all the menu options and then I used the search function but I haven`t found any way to unsubscribe, or even any way to see what I am currently subscribed to, although ironically that gives me hope that it`s a glitch rather than a grift.
Anyway, I have emailed the club so I`m going to hear back soon, although I suppose how soon will depend on how many similar emails they have!

Sorry, my initial post could have been clearer. Once you`ve logged into your account, click on the wee head thing on the top right corner of the web page.
That should take you into your account page giving you options such as `dashboard`, `personal details` etc. The last one should be `purchases`.
Head into purchases and hopefully you should be able to cancel from there. I had some issues with my purchases loading on a mobile browser but once I got into a desktop version it was fine.
I'd post a screenshot if I had any idea how to!

Thanks for that CAPar, you`ve been really helpful.
I wouldn`t have thought to click there unless I was looking to logout, since the wee head thing gives every impression that it is the logout icon, given that it seems to be labelled "sign out" despite them being two separate icons. I honestly haven`t seen a worse design for a commercial website in a long time.
Anyway, I went to the part of the website you suggested and it says:
"We couldn`t load your purchases. Please try again." on both the subscription and passes section.
I think I might have to wait to hear back from the club, thanks again though CAPar, I did miss that option but it`s just my luck that it hasn`t worked for me lol
I suspect that LA is right that they have set their location bar in such a way that you can`t even unsubscribe from the UK, so you need a VPN, which can hopefully be sorted soon.
I`d rather just have ParsTV back though tbh, they were shonky and all that, but I trusted them with my card details - DAFC Live has failed that basic test immediately.

When I click into DAFC Live, the link to the Arbroath game comes on my screen for a millisecond before flicking over to a link to a game against Stenhousemuir in early October.
This happened on Friday too. Fortunately, with a VPN, I could link to the BBC broadcast, but that option will not be available on Saturday.
How many weeks have passed since DAFC Live was launched? Not once has it worked problem-free.

No bother Wotsit, it`s not intuitive at all.
I had the same problem with loading purchases on several mobile browsers but when I logged in via a desktop browser on my laptop, they were there. No idea if that was coincidence although I would have had a VPN on there so maybe that was the difference.
They need to get the whole website sorted out though, it`s brutal.

I don`t know if this is relevant or not, but the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Act 2024 (DMCCA) has recently come into force.
Among lots of other stuff, it requires that customers can exit a subscription generally as easily as they signed up, including being able to cancel online if they signed up online.
This is intended to stop "subscription traps" where a website does not advise the cancellation process at the time of contract, or offer an easy and clear way to cancel an online subscription. These traps cost UK consumers millions of pounds every year, and the Government intends to bring forward secondary legislation to clarify some of the issues raised by the Act.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg0v36ek2go?
I haven`t needed to purchase anything at all via DAFC Live, and don`t have any subscriptions to cancel and test the website. However, I would not have found the "Purchases" button without the help on this thread from CApar. I also found it a little creepy that when I clicked on DAFC Live from the DAFC website it recognised me by name, but I still had to sign in to access my account.
I`m sure DAFC is not trying to rip fans off at all, but the comments on here do suggest that the DAFC Live system is, at best, clunky.

It is relevant Stanza, and I mentioned it on another thread.
I was intentially trying to be a little non committal on the other thread but I actually do believe that the service has crossed the line here with the problems users are having with leaving service, and it is strange how so many folk are surprised by the monthly subscriptions. Perhaps it might not be clear enough.

Took me by surprise.
I had assumed it would be like ParsTV whereby you had to renew whenever a month sub expired. I don`t recollect seeing anything that said it was automatically renewing or anything that offered some option to not take up an auto renew option.
When I double-checked yesterday after seeing the recent threads above I had similar issues ie having to search for where purchases are listed (not under DAFCLive Subscriptions tab (the obvious first stop), then not being able to see my purchases, eventually getting them to show after a couple times logging in and out my account and refreshing VPN server to force a different IP address.
Website is not very intuitively signposted or laid out. It is also clearly sensitive to previous log-in details that may have changed since last viewing the site. Possibly the latter is linked to aggressive anti-VPN or IP logging/checking settings.
I cancelled the next auto renew as I want to be free to choose when it is of most value to me. No point in having the sub starting a week before the next game or covering a month when I know I won`t be available to view the games.

From DAFCLive on Facebook...https://www.facebook.com/100068654199962/posts/1393319769633150/
⚽ Update on Arbroath at Gayfield 05/09/26 - Our intention is to provide a stream from Gayfield tomorrow, however we are aware of connectivity issues at the stadium after our experiences last season coupled with the recent match versus Livingston where they reported issues as well.
Our aim is to get a stream going from the stadium using the mobile network and assess the connection as the match gets closer to kick off. We are expecting a bit of buffering pre-match and at half time as the mobile network usually struggles with everyone going on their phone at the same time! 🤣
We have a few extra tricks to try prior to kick off so hopefully we will have a great service tomorrow... But if you are tuning in please be prepared for some buffering and possible connection issues with the stream.
📽️ The match will be available to overseas viewers as part of the monthly and season pass options, there is no PPV option for tomorrow as it is a Saturday blackout match.
📺 Finally - We have spotted that our graphics overlays haven`t been going out for the past few matches... You have had the video feed but all the extra graphics and team lines haven`t been going out on the live stream even though we could see them at our end. We have nailed this issue and expect you to have a more interactive experience during tomorrow`s game and moving forward.
🎉 Thanks again for all the feedback over the past few weeks and for continuing to support the growth of the new Dunfermline Athletic FC streaming service, DAFC Live. We have loads of improvements planned which will take some time to fully implement so we appreciate your patience and can`t wait to take you along for the 26/27 journey, which we fully expect to be exhilarating to the end!

Couldn’t watch until about 3:20 today, so was glad of the “watch from the start” option. But then it jumped forward about 10 minutes at one point, and again in the last 5 minutes of the half. Not sure if that’s an issue at my end or theirs but a bit of a pain.
