It would seem the Pars live offering is a shambles , the web site is poir compared to last year, hospitality today was poor despite the work from Margret and her staff , its would take ages to mention all what was wrong a hospitality today , food at catering sold out before half time ,strips sold out before folk can get them , poor quality tops , snd over priced , someone take this on board and get this sorted, this is not club bashing , this is trying to get more cash for the club to put into the player pot .

All that I can get for my 3 year old is an overpriced kit. Hospitality was also well below the level that it should be. Very poor offering from the club.

Ye can add the ladies loo in the main stand (the one nearest the kitchens) to your list too. It was my first ~ and last ~ visit. Needs redecorated and the toilet seats fixed.

Apparently, according to Cook today, we have spent £200k this summer on stadium upgrades.

The website is not particularly intuitive and easy to navigate.
When are the club going to put the reserved labels on the seats taken by season ticket holders.

This money seemingly was separate from the pitch works. This was apparently to comply with stadium security certification.

Ivwas looking at the lighting. They may be better upgrading the light fittings to LED`s. Saves on lamp replacement. I imagine scaffolding to do maintenance costs a fortune

The NWS toilet is disgraceful - not just the primitive trough, but also having only one cubicle for several hundred paying customers - and half the time it`s used by young lads enjoying dubious substances.
It`s hard not to think that if this were the standard of toilet that the Board members and their visiting guests had to use, it would have been replaced years ago.

It’s an old stadium and costs a lot to maintain and it’s never going to be perfect, there’s always something needing fixed or freshened up.
Cannae believe though that the goal frames couldn’t have had a wee lick of paint for the start of the new season. I know the keepers bashing their studs on the bottom of the post soon damage it, but still I am sure every other close season this has been done and I am pretty sure every other team will do this, ours are scabby looking.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I’ve no doubt “things” are being done behind the scenes but the basics aren’t being taken care of.
North West toilets need a big upgrade to produce more cubicles in men’s and women’s area.
Peeing in a trough doesn’t bother me. It does its job and the sinks work fine.
The tannoy system has been broken for years now in the NW so you only hear things if you’re standing near the Norrie.

The quality of the food, the 3 poppadoms and nan breads to a table of 6, there is no designated seating or anyone telling you where to sit, and no signage to show you back to the lounge. We were also told at 10 past 5 that we weren’t allowed any more drinks.
I’ve detailed things that could be done to improve the hospitality offering to the club, but I’ve done this before and received no replies. Hospitality has been guff for years and after that yesterday I think I`ll pass on any invite that comes my way in the future.

The host yesterday isn`t the new host that replaced Leish last season, yesterdays was a one off. Leish still does the rounds too

I think I’ve had 8 visits in 10 seasons, all paid and no freebies come my way. I was a guest of a local business yesterday who supports the club pretty well and I was a customer when in business!
Been called a lot but a hinger oan is pretty well up there and I’m 68 years old! Followed the pars for 60 years and contributed a good chunk of cash to the club in ST sales!
I don’t think everything is rubbish either, read the thread and you’ll see plenty saying it was terrible. Quite the opposite for me just now as well especially with the playing side of things and I’m extremely confident of a top 2 finish.

The maintenance costs on EEP must be a a lot of money. They replaced steel beams in the stadium and made the pitch better so it won’t freeze under the main stand and goals in the winter..I imagine once you do this then other problems start so it must be a nightmare trying to keep the ground up and running to a good standard plus putting money into the team to get us promoted this season..

The main stand is old and costly to keep. I do genuinely believe things like upgrading the toilets will go a long way though - especially the ladies! Of course extra seats in the gents would help but generally speaking a trough or a tree is good enough for a guy.
I’m sure the female members of the forum could speak to it better than me but I do think sometimes it’s overlooked in a male dominated environments.

I think that it has to be the next sensible phase of development of the club if there willingness to invest.
US sports teams tend to treat their stadiums as 365-day commercial assets, rather than facilities that only generate money on matchdays. The approach is particularly developed in the NFL, MLB, NBA and MLS.
A new stadium may afford that opportunity.

The attendance was over 5k, which is pretty decent given the poor away support. I wouldn`t fancy moving from EEP. There`s something about going to the same place with the same routine on a Saturday that would make it difficult to move.
That being said, St Mirren have a nice wee ground, and it probably costs less to maintain. The £200k that Cook mentioned didn`t include the upgrade to the pitch.
The owner realises that we will lose money while we`re in the Championship. Even with our Cup run, which generated £1m, we still lost money. My question would be, how long is Bord willing to lose money before cutting his losses?

There`s no danger of us moving to another stadium so continuing to maintain EEP is the only option other than demolishing and rebuilding the main stand, which would be expensive.
The toilets wouldn`t take much to sort but it all adds up. Hopefully the feedback on hospitality is taken on board.

I don`t understand the suggestion we need to get promoted this season or next for NL and JB to stay, as if they had no control over it. NL has just agreed to extend his contract so presumably he hasn`t set a short-term time limit for promotion after which he`ll walk away.

I think that automatic promotion is the aim this season, however there is no point 8n being promoted to come down the next year. It has to he a sustainable approach.

Hospitality food last season was excellent, attended twice and was not disappointed and the box upgrades that are ongoing are superb. There are issues that I think should be looked at. Twice we booked a box and twice they had the wrong number of table settings, you`re paying well over a grand so you would think at least one round of drinks on the house wouldn`t be a stretch (widely offered at other clubs), a direct feed on the TV for the pre match interviews would be a welcome addition, and they`re happy to come round flogging raffle tickets but absolutely zero attempt to tell you the results.
As for wider issues at the stadium, it`s quite obvious they`re doing what they can - you only have to look around and see the improvements, but not everything is going to get fixed straight away, we don`t have an endless pit of money.

That`s what makes it worse. Businesses who are considering spending money with the club won`t if the club can`t even get the basics, like a simple seat assignment, right.

Is hospitality operated by Thomas Franks? The DAFC website quoted Glen Banks saying:
“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with Dunfermline Athletic FC. Our shared commitment to quality and fresh, locally sourced ingredients will undoubtedly result in an enhanced experience for match day fans, conference guests, and eventgoers alike."
I went last season and it was fine. Obviously not sure about this season.

I`ve done hospitality a couple of times over the past few years. Living abroad its a nice wee opportunity to take my dad and brother to the game a wee bit differently.
I enjoyed the food and service was good
My only complaint was the sound system was terrible and couldnt hear the guest player speaker at all. Westie was also guest speaking and just turned off the mic and let his voice carry :-)

Hospitality has always been decent in the past when I`ve been but at the weekend there we had 6 naan breads(or bits of a naan bread)for a table of 8 and not enough rice to go around so I ended up having a bit of curry with no naan or rice and that was all the pre-match food. I think they said that it was the curry club week of the season so I`m not sure if that made a difference to who provides the food? It should be easy enough to count the chairs and cater accordingly though.
The board room platter looked good, perhaps catering were unaware the director was going to turn up until late in the day?
It was good to hear from Lennon, Cook and Gilmour, it was just the food that let it down for me.

In Legends £4:90 for a bottle of Peroni,last season. £5:20 this year. Quite a jump

In hospitality they were asking top prices for warm bottled beer, if you are taking draft beer out of the hospitality suites , at least have enough cold bottles, tins ,its basic ,get it sorted .

A quick update on this.
£4.80 for a bottle of Joker last season. An initial 25% increase brought it up to £6.
Yesterday it was down to £4.95, a much more acceptable 3%.
Well done and thanks to those responsible.
