Not enough quality in the game for either side to win it. Referee was poor. Three late challenges by RR players nobody booked. Robbie Fraser puts in a good tackle and gets booked. I would be challenging that one.
RR stopped us playing chased us down and followed up second balls. No real chances from either side. Ollie Thomas/Adams maybe a penalty at tge end, but the way the refereeing was going it was too big a call.
A point and extended the unbeaten run. We stood up better to them this time.

Both teams poor Thomas with a decent shot was the only one in the 90 minutes on target, then taken out by the keeper and the loose ball falls to Adams and he scuffs it past the post with goal wide open.

Agree with everyone else - the ref was terrible. Typical niggly and dirty Imrie side looking to break up and stop play whenever they can. Many more bookings could have been handed out to RR players. The yellow for Fraser`s good tackle was ridiculous and their keeper took out Thomas at the end at the edge of the box with what should have been either a penalty or free kick at the edge of the box. I would have liked Corbally to have come on as his corners and passing are good. He also scored a nice goal against Inverness and played well on Tuesday night. Shaw had little impact, but to be fair he didn`t get much service. Corbally might have provided some balls in he could have attacked. Not one of the best Pars performances tonight but RR offered little from an attacking sense and were able to frustrate and break up play (often by fouling) with help from a useless ref.

Terrible game. Raith offered nothing at all. We weren`t much better apart from Thomas shot and Adams has to score. Looked better when JT came on (think we switched to 3 at the back with Lobban/McLeod more like wing backs)
The one positive for me was we had a bench full of players that you wouldn`t bat an eyelid if they started whereas Oakley and Dowds look done and they have absolutely nothing in reserve.
I think we have as good a chance of winning the league as anyone. Swap Thomas/Kane/Rudden for Adams and we`ll be strong all over the pitch.

The ref was a disgrace really - allowed their time wasting and back chat to last the full 90 minutes, mot to mention their cynical fouling, soon as we do it the cards come out.
The pen decision would be cleared by VAR as Rae gets the slightest of slight nicks on ball, despite him poleaxing Thomas - but in real time with no VAR, its a poor decision - theres no way the ref, or lino, seen that touchâŠâŠ
We werenât at the races today, but a point away from home v Raith and 11 unbeaten is a fine place to be in - Id much rather be there with our squad than in Rovers situation.

Where to even start with that. Rovers killed any chance of a football match with their antics as usual, just a team full of horrible b*stards from top to bottom.
Absolutely beyond belief that Adams has started 11 games in a row, heâs atrocious and genuinely looks like a competition winner 99% of the time heâs on the ball. 4 back heels attempted - 4 times rovers regained possession. The kind of thing Lennon should be raging about.
The ref was hopeless aswell, every drop ball went to rovers regardless of who had the ball when play was stopped. Frasers yellow was a perfect tackle, not a single raith player even claimed for a foul. The challenge on Thomas at the end is a penalty all day long aswell!
A difficult night but a point isnât a terrible result. We really need more creativity up top, itâs just not happening at the minute.

It`s weird that the reason given for not awarding a pen was that the keeper got a touch on the ball. Outfield players make tackles all over the pitch and `get a touch` on the ball but get penalised just the same eg Robbie Fraser`s tackle.

Surprised that Adams got the full game when we still had Kane & Rudden on the bench.
Still, a clean sheet, a point away, unbeaten run continues & we`re joint top, for a few hours anyway!
Kanes chocolate, no way Lennon was playing him on that surface

We were poor in the final 3rd again. I donât think Bray offered enough tbh. Oli shaw needed someone closer to him but I also felt he could have done better. However, when he went off we looked really poor until Thomas came on. He was strong enough and good enough with the ball.
They were poor. When Oakley went off, all their attack did as well. Dowds offered nothing.
That ref tho
The game finished 0-0 to the referee

A poor game that probably deserved to end 0-0 despite the referee blatantly missing Thomas getting wiped out.
Some horrific officiating once again at Starks, seems to be almost every time we visit they just allow niggly fouls all night unless we commit them and it`s an instant yellow.
We just couldn`t get a real hold of the game until the final 10-15 minutes when the system got changed by Lennon and we started looking more of a threat. Take a point at Starks and move on.

Frustrating that we couldn`t nick a goal somehow tonight, but a point isn`t a bad result and I don`t think we were ever under pressure and looked like conceding. Just the usual game against Raith where one team tried to play football, and the other just wanted to put themselves about and the ref just allowed it all night.
Amazed Adams stayed on the pitch tonight. Thought he looked a bit lost on the wing and was generally just frustrating to watch whether it was struggling to control the ball or trying silly back heels. He just either seems to do something really good, or really bad and there`s no in-between.
Stevenson catching a shot right to the face was probably the highlight of the game - Couldn`t happen to a better guy. Ross Millen trying to make himself relevant goading the fans at the end was amusing too

Ref was murder, and to think he officiates most of his games in the top tier.
You take a point away from home but still disappointed in the performance, we created very little.
I think the refs from the top tier are worse when they take our games. They are used to not making strong decisions as they think that VAR will make the decision for them.
With VAR the penalty tonight would be looked at, as would Turner taking out Shaw off the ball, Abdullai was raging at one point and it looked like he was saying someone had raked their studs down is ankle. I`m sure there will be other examples.
I didn`t think we played anywhere near our best tonight but we probably shaded it. The Rae save was very good to deny us late on.

not the only one that spotted it NikNak, its to be expected with Baird and he delivered yet again.
i get the change with Adams and Shaw after last week but it definitely didnt work tonight, how Adams stayed on the full game when you have a still have another sub slot and choice of 2 other forwards is strange to say the least. overall it was poor stuff, little to no movement from the midfield and forwards, they have been using this system for months yet it looks like there is no plan what to do not just in the final third but to get there in the first place. it got slightly better when they went 3 at the back but not by much, take the point and move on but in two weeks time, can see it being much of the same.
the referee...after the games he has done involving us the last couple of years i had an idea of what to expect but tonight was a whole new level. see Collum was in the main stand, be so proud of one of his "top" officials in the middle tonight im sure.

Draw a fair result Iâm afraid, didnât think we offered much at all. But they certainly didnât want to push to win that game. As Lennon said, takes two teams to play a good game of football and Raith didnât want to do that. They suffocated us which didnât allow us to play to our full potential.
Adams needs a spell on the bench. Thomas done well when he came on, more than Adams did all game. Heâs so raw and not ready to be starting every week, Iâd understand persisting with him if the options are limited but you have Kane and Rudden sitting chomping at the bit to come. Two players that have vast experience in these games and would know how to ruffle the feathers of their defenders.
Morton and Arbroath next two league games at home, 6 points is a must and imo utilise Kane, start him from the off, hopefully he bangs in a couple and get him off around the 60 mark and save his legs. Itâs a no brainer.
As for the referee, donât get me started, swear to god they donât have a clue whatâs going on in front of their own eyes? I reckon they just take the job because they are small minded individuals who feel they need to have some sort of an authority in their lives to make them feel better about themselves.
If you look away from the field and at some of the âtop refereesâ in our country, what they do off the pitch, a good chunk of them are police officers, if that doesnât scream I love having authority and being controlling then nothing will.

Decent performance tonight against a streetwise Raith side, noticed Raith has really narrowed the pitch and we just lacked that quality and movement to break them down when it counted.
Adamâs is giving me PTSD from when lennon was playing wanyama, neither should have been near our first 11 and its makes you question lennons thinking when thereâs others on the bench who can actually play football.
Itâs not surprising we struggle to break teams down with a front 3 that includes Tod and adams, Tod was better tonight but they just donât retain possession enough and vast majority of what they try doesnât come off so inevitably the move falls apart. It should be one or the other. Shaw did okay but we are lacking intelligent movement to find the space up there.
I fancy Lennon might dip into the market again in Jan for a decent forward to play on the right, Morrison isnât the answer and it would make a huge difference.
The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

Can`t help but think there`s something wrong with the laws of the game if you can run behind someone, make no attempt to go for the ball, have no chance of winning the ball even if you went for it, and grab someone around the neck and then only end up with a booking.
You would get lifted for common assault if you did it a few metres away on the street.

Totally agree with this. It`s time to amend the laws of the game to put an end to these "challenges". Many of them prevent goalscoring chances so it`s important something is done.

They`re a very dirty team, especially the likes of Baird and Oakley. It`s what you`ve come to expect from an Imrie managed team, absolutely no intention to have any sort of exciting football, just stay solid at the back and hoof it forward up to a target man and look for knock downs. You`re relying on referees to clamp down on teams like that but Scottish officiating has no intention of being sensible and contribute to an entertaining product on the park.
At the same time, it`s frustrating that we reverted back to passing around the back continually and not being able to progress the ball often enough. Things improved when Lennon changed the system, bringing Tod, Thomas and Gilmour on but it was a little too late. I really hope Thomas hasn`t seriously injured his arm, his physicality is a problem for defenders and you could see that towards the end where Hanlon and Baird were bricking it whenever he was around them.

I wonder if Adams and Allan have ever played on astro. They seemed to get caught out by the way the ball bounces and moves differently compared to grass. Training on our astro training pitch is one thing, but playing a competitive game on their surface is completely different. Both teams struggled to keep their footing on it.

The way we have dominated games recently and how teams have sat in against us I thought RR tactics would be no different. The relied on a big target man, breakaways, and winning second balls. I thought they were better than us winning second balls in midfield and forward areas but their finishing was poor. As others have said when we went to a back three and wingbacks, we were better. I see McLeod developing into the wingback position due to his athleticism and strength, rather than just playing in forward positions.
RR I thought never really opened the game up, and relied on persistent fouling to break down our play. We were unable to stamp any authority on the game but perhaps that`s down to the average age of the squad. I haven`t seen a team better than us this season so this is just one of those games you have to take on the chin in my view. All part of the development.
The refereeing was pretty poor. Even my wife said that!

Poor game but typical derby. I am amazed at how much thuggery raith use and it was made worse by a ref that clearly was biased. Pars did things and got booked, raith did it and nothing, not even a warning., surely refs are subject to some form of review.

There will be an assessor watching him last night but nothing will happen, heâll end up getting a premiership game next week. Some of the calls were genuinely baffling. Twice he stopped the game while we had the ball, and twice he walked 20 yards from where the play stopped and just gave the ball to them? The Fraser card is an atrocious decision, as was the penalty claim, genuinely think he was just too scared to give a penalty at that time of the match. Baird climbing all over Thomas at the corner flag, jumping on his back, wrestling him to the floor then continuing to wrestle him while lying on top of him.. never even spoke to him. Inept.

Not a game that will live long in the memory, and a refereeing performance that was even poorer. I find it incredible that this guy is actually considered good enough to referee in the Premiership, if last night was a typical performance.
I`d have taken a draw before the game. The Rovers are a horrible team to play against, but we didn`t do enough to win it, although the penalty not given still rankles.

Bit of a mental period of fixtures coming up after the international break which means we`ll need to utilise the squad. Worry is that starters like Adams are not up to it but then replacements are inconsistent too. Can`t rely on it "clicking" by pure chance when there`s games every few days.

Unfortunately working last night and missed a fair bit of tv coverage.
It looked a well scrappy game. Refâs performance well below standard requirements for professional football game. Fraser got the ball didnât look like he got any of the player and got booked. Tiffoney should have been off for that neck haul from behind. Commentary even commented that in rugby thatâs a straight red never mind football.
Now the penalty claim, It showed 2 angles in replay. First one looks like he was poleaxed. Second one behind the goal replay suggested Rae made significant contact with Thomas`s lower body without cleanly taking the ball. It was absolutely a penalty.
Another clean sheet, an important point and continuing our unbeaten run.

McLeod is an infinitely better footballer than Adams, as is cooper & bray. Thomas (aslong as the shoulder isnât bad) should be nearing full fitness to start, Kane and Rudden can be utilised. We have plenty of options up top. Gilmour can come in for Oyirwoth or Amade, thought he done ok when he came on albeit a short time.
Our squad is very big and we have plenty of ok options without any real standouts. Fingers crossed this is where we can kick on where other teams like raith will really struggle with such small squads.

VEE, I wouldnât be so sure. There was some staggeringly bad decisions last night. The haul of Tod in the penalty area where the opposition arms are around the upper body neck area shows that referees who are used to the back up of VAR may becoming used to that back up rather than using it to improve themselves.
It was the worst performance from a referee for a long time.

For me Adams was receiving too many passes with his back to goal. To use his pace against Stevenson he needed a ball to run on to so he could take him on or a ball behind the defence into space. He may have been partly to blame because of his positiong but it should have been sorted.

The chance at the end was much harder than it looked. Thomas flicks the ball on but Rae gets a touch on it that changes the direction of then ball just enough so Adamâs canât make good contact with it. If Rae doesnât make contact Adamâs would have scored.
That doesnât deflect from the awful refereeing decision. It was a pen all day long.
