This scandal has gone unnoticed on here -
`Sir Jeffrey Donaldson has been convicted of 18 counts of sex abuse, including one count of rape, which he committed against two women when they were children.
The 63-year-old former Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader showed no emotion and stood in the dock with his hands clasped as the verdicts were read out at Newry Crown Court on Monday.
His wife Lady Eleanor Donaldson had faced a trial of the facts on mental health grounds, meaning the jury was asked to find out if she did the acts or did not do the acts of which she was accused.
They found that she had done the acts in relation to all five charges – including four counts of aiding and abetting her husband`s offending.
The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for 10 hours over three days before coming to their verdicts.`

Maybe orange 🍊 ones would be more appropriate.

To be fair… the Catholic Church doesn’t exactly have a clean reputation… It’s an ongoing sickness worse than cancer and it’s infected all levels of society. Left, right, every race, every religion. It’s abhorrent.

No longer Sir Jeffrey.
It`s Northern Ireland - a lot of people in Britain don`t really care (or understand) what happens over there.
Was this scandal an open secret, or did it come as a complete surprise?

I think the best example of how much Westminster cares about the other ‘nations’ is very recently.
The then PM (Starmer) was at the dispatch box saying how much they all care about Northern Ireland to a full House of Commons… that same day there were Northern Ireland questions to the Northern Ireland Secretary, and the must have been about 20 people in total who bothered to go along

Does NI not have only about 10MPs or so?
In any case, the Unionist side there are absolute dinosaurs...always found it amusing that the stereotypical image of the Catholic Church is one of being stuck in the dark ages, yet Sinn Fein politicians actually sound normal while the DUP sound like they`re from a different universe!
Always have to wonder how many of these "Catholics" & "Protestants" actually go to the casa de Jesus every Sunday.
Honestly so thankful that the majority of Scots are now non-religious, but we do need to get a grip of the migrant situation to make sure it stays that way.
