My initial thought is as much as it’s jobs for the boys he’s trying to get Sarwar onside as early as possible. Wasn’t Sarwar very outspoken on Starmer?

Maybe this is Sarwar`s reward for starting the ball rolling with criticism of Starmer even before the Holyrood election campaign had begun. I`m not seeing much `new` politics, with supporters of the new PM being elevated to the House of Lords and given a job in government without being elected. That`s one thing the SNP won`t be guilty of doing.
