He will come through it without any major symptoms or ill effects and then he will beam to the American public how "I told you all along it was nothing to worry about" and his base supporters will lap it up.
Eta. If you thought the last four years were bad imagine how much worst it will be if he gets another four years and doesn.t have to worry about being reelected.

I really doubt this is true. For one thing I don't think it is possible to catch a hoax.
This could be his smartest move yet. Divert media from racism and tax evasion. The sympathy bounce combined with vote prevention, or delay the election until a so called vaccine is released.
Smart chess move I'd say. Certainly not beneath him and possibly his last throw of the dice to avoid jail for another 4 years.

The election won't be delayed as there is no constitutional process for doing so. Put it this way - there was a presidential election in the middle of the civil war so this isn't going to be enough to stop it happening

I too hope that Trump gets through this - it’s a step too far to wish serious harm on someone else. I would however like to see him learn what humility is. Unlikely I know, particularly in the light of an impending election, that he’s going to apologise and admit he was wrong about Covid but it would be great to hear.
Oh, and I hope the American people vote him out of office come November!
