Passed away from cancer at 73. Was a huge fan growing up and seen him twice in concert. Was meant to be seeing him at Glenrothes later in the year. Sad news. R.I.P

Sad news, indeed. Make Me Smile was one of the great pop songs of the Seventies. It was guaranteed to bring folk to the dance floor.

Yes, his iconic hit still sounds great today - I also thought they did a great cover version of the Beatles’ here comes the sun
