I received an e-mail this morning to say the EEB website is closing down due to continually rising hosting costs. However they are planning to transfer to a new host, so effectively starting a new site. Anyone interested in engaging with it will have to re-register to enable existing data to be transferred.

Should really be using this as an opportunity to reunite as one, having two separate forums (whether here or on another central platform), silly really.

wee eck trying to stir things up…😅
EEB will always be a far superior site and when the new site is introduced I’m sure all the old posters will join and hopefully the good ones from here.

Join together, move to a purpose built out of town website and rename .Net United. Sell the old websites to supermarkets. $$$

I`ve never posted anything on EEB but I do like to visit it to see what fellow-Pars fans are saying. They do seem to be a bit more civil towards each other than is often the case on here.

The EEB is an excellent website. I post on both, as do a decent number of other Pars fans. It doesn`t have as much traffic as dotnet, but most of the posters are civil and knowledgeable.
I hope they can resolve any issues they`re currently experiencing.

I occasionally have a look on EEB but have never posted. It`s a bit of a waste of time that site, hardly any posts on it, and of the few people that do try and start a post there, it`s the same folk that also start the posts here. No idea why they feel the need to post what they have posted here on that site as well to get a couple of responses. The folk that are on it just seem to be the wee weirdos that took the hump on here years ago because they used to post a load of old cobblers and would get called out on it.
It`s a cack site and would be as well shut down. The folk that post on it can just come back here

Any time I`ve gone on EEB it`s been pretty dead tbh. Hope the new forum can have an app.

I don`t know what happened to lead to the previous split?
I`ve very rarely been on EEB but when I do go I recognise the names of some posters that I used to like on here.
It would be good if there was some reconciliation.

I’m not 100% certain but it could have something to do with the amount of people who were wrongfully banned from here when the club went into admin dougiedave shoobox honk to name but a few maybe Brian could confirm or there again maybe not since he dished out black cards for fun in those days

Without dwelling on matters, people were banned because the club (Masterton) were threatening to sue the website. Passions were understandably running high. It was over a decade ago. Surely time to let bygones be bygones?

Masterton didn’t want the truth to come out.

Would be nice for an amicable chat about reuniting taking place.
As others have mentioned, find it’s the same folk posting the same stuff on both sites with only a handful of differentials.
Dunfermline having two forums as well as obviously Pie & Bovril, really is daft.
All grown ups, club going in the right direction, maybe something us fans can do as well.

When this website started limiting speech and banning dissent during the most crucial time in the club`s history it became apparent that we couldn`t always rely on a forum with such close ties to the club
I don`t post on EEB but I`m glad it exists.
