Player of the Year

You voted Stephen Bell as Player of the Year and Greg Paterson as Young Player of the Year

Player of the Year is worked out by man of The man votes cast on the Match Report after each Game and a Vote for Player of the Year.

Young Player of the Year is just worked out on votes. It was quite difficult this year as we normally take 21 and under as the age for Young Player of the Year and there are many good candidates who are just over this age limit.

Man of the Match votes was reasonable close with the following candidates: Willie Gibson, David Graham, Greg Fleming, Alex Burke, Steven Bell, Neil McGregor and
Joe Cardle.

Votes on Player of the Year was not so close with Stephen Bell way out ahead followed by Austin McCann, David Graham and Joe Cardle. However over all Stephen Bell combined score gives him DAFC.net Internet Fans Player of the Year.

Young Player of the Year, Greg Paterson performed very well in his stints in the first team until his injury, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

I will try and present the trophies this afternoon at the Open Day but with Stephen Bell having to go to Cyprus in preparation for his wedding (btw, good luck!) that task may prove to be difficult. :o)
