Before joining Dunfermline, Marco spent all of his career in Holland. He started at his local club WFC Rapiditas West he then moved to AZ where he played over 100 games before moving to Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles.

Marco was signed in July 2000 to take the Pars goalkeeping spot. A string of superb performance has endured him to the Pars faithful. Marco also topped the OPTA Index stats for SPL goalkeepers and managed to keep 12 clean sheets, so all in all it hasn`t been to bad a start to his Pars career.
