Hi all,
I’ve got 8 people coming along to the fanzone for Scotland Germany on Friday and was wondering if anyone had any actual details about the event, eg
when the doors open? what time the entertainment starts? when the bars open? when the food opens? what’s on after the game? What time is kick out time? What’s the schedule for entertainment?
I’ve been looking on COWS and can’t see anything, but need to let everyone know what time to meet etc

They don`t make it easy to find but what I see on the website is:
Doors at 4pm.
Foods, drink, XBOX/games etc presumably open then.
Believe the bands are Definitely Oasis, Moonlight Zoo, Desperados and a Fools Gold club night with bands/DJs playing BEFORE kick off.
Kick out seems to be 10pm.
The club really needs to improve it's Comms and online info. It's inconsistent between social media, the club website and the fan zone site. Neither website has been designed accessibly either meaning they'll cause issues for some fans.

Definitely Oasis are playing before the Germany game.
Desperados/Moonlight Zoo are playing before the Switzerland game.
Fools Gold has a set before the Hungary game.

There`s no quality control check on anything that goes out. Very frustrating for a club trying to build its relationship with the fans.

doubt anything post matches due to noise issues with local residents. Games wont end until 10pm (with stoppage time etc)

DAFC Open Day sounds good!
I am really looking forward to the fan zone, and the information on the link Drew has provided looks as if it ticks a lot of boxes.
Here`s hoping it is a roaring success at both EEP and in Germany!

Germany game sold out now.
Last week it looked as if only about 2000 tickets had been sold……should be a great atmosphere..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

I thought there was an artisan market thing under the Norrie on the 15th and 16th, but isn`t on the event schedule. Anyone know if it`s happening?

I believe the market has been cancelled , however I would give the club a ring to confirm.

The person running it announced it was cancelled. Did it perhaps coincide with the usual market by the Abbey?

Random question, one of the folk coming along tonight will arrive later than the rest of us, (he’s travelling to join us)… but I have all the tickets and will already be inside
Will I be able to leave and get back in ?

Given the spirit of the event, should be fine if you give the steward a heads up although it is worth checking.
It reminds me of an issue I had at a football match, my boy wanted to leave at HT so arranged for my wife to pick him up from literally ten yards away from the gate, had to argue with the steward to let me step out of the stadium to take him to the car to then come back in for the second half. Strictly speaking he wasn’t supposed to let me do that, not sure why, some health and safety issue I assume.

I’ve often wondered that, I live two mins walk from the stadium and there’s been a few occasions where I thought about nipping home for a hat or warmer jacket…
But assumed the system would go bananas if I tried to get in again without it knowing I’ve exited, ie scanning out

Yep, excellent night. The band were really good, sound quality very good, screens more than big enough and crystal clear.
I wasn`t fussed about the bar but they probably could`ve taken a hell of a lot more money with a more efficient setup.

Fan zone in Munich was a nightmare for the bars - 2 and a half hours and still not served at some of them, went 6 hours only drinking tap water that only came out of one tap 😂😂 was a great atmosphere though - till 9:10……

Yes, there were delays in getting a pint.
Yes, there was slightly overpriced food.
However, it is a captive market once you are there, but, despite the result, it was a success, in my opinion.
Credit to the club for getting involved in this.
Tonight, to me, was a free hit. Despite the dressing down, we can still win our next 2 games and progress.
There is life in this tournament yet, but we have to get a whole lot better.

You will get good odds on two wins.

Was there last night and I thought the set up was very good.
Maybe one thing they could do is announce the coverage is behind the actual game, Was rubbish watching knowing it was already 1-0 then 2-0.
But yeah they should take credit for a really good event. Loads of kids there who seemed to love just running about in a safe environment.

I was there tonight for the first time and have to say what a brilliant initiative it is.
Little queuing, the screens were huge, plenty for the kids to do, and the band on before KO were great.
Would recommend it for the last match and the free cinema night.

I would expect a lot more to be in attendance on Sunday than there was last night.
We had a group of boys from Argentina and Brazil behind us last night who were starting up Scotland songs. They had a great time but are gutted that they go home on Saturday!

It is indeed Wee Eck, although there may be a slight lag as someone suggested they knew Germany had scored the other night before the screens showed the goal.

We no longer have sky tv or a tv aerial at home, so we always watch via online streaming. Interestingly, the iPlayer app on my TV is about 60 seconds behind the live action, whilst watching it via the bbc website is about 30-40 seconds behind the live action. 🙃

Same over here. Was watching Netherlands Poland in a bar next to the fanzone and it was at least 30 seconds behind. Would have hated watching the Scotland game there!
