The Maccabi Tel Aviv fans’ behaviour in Amsterdam proves these scumbags should not be allowed to enter any sports competition. End apartheid. boycott Israel.

Reports here said it was Israeli fans that were attacked by a pro Palestinian mob. I admit that I have only scanned the headlines and haven`t seen any videos of the altercation

No, I did not VEE. The great antisemitic lie is coming out again, and the Dutch authorities have bowed down like puppies to the usual bullshit. Take a look on social media before it is taken down, and you should see the shocking behaviour of the Israeli fans in and around the Ajax ground, their singing of obscene chants about killing Palestinians. It was hardly surprising that the Dutch fans would give them some curry.
The "emergency" flights are a pathetic PR exercise, nothing more.

Yep, we should definitely be banning people from sports if they’ve been attacked. Seems entirely fair and rational to me.

In all seriousness, the governing bodies can’t be seen to ‘take sides’ in all of this. Blaming one side is just wrong. Both sides of this issue have acted very poorly and should be condemned. Banning Israelis would send the completely wrong message.

Israeli football fans have faced a series of attacks in the centre of Amsterdam, officials say, with riot police having to intervene several times to protect them.
Prime Minister Dick Schoof condemned "antisemitic attacks" and Israel`s military spoke of "severe and violent incidents against Israelis".
Amsterdam`s mayor and authorities said that despite a massive police presence, Israeli fans had been injured in several parts of the Dutch capital.

We should be banning Israel from sports because of their murderous behaviour in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and elsewhere.

Amsterdam mayor
published at 09:46

Mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, says perpetrators "actively sought out" Israeli supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv to attack, abuse, and pelt with fireworks.
She says riot police had to intervene several times, protecting the supporters and escorting them to hotels. However, despite the "massive police presence," some supporters were injured.
"This outburst of violence towards Israeli supporters goes beyond all limits and is in no way defensible," she says.
Halsema also says the "Amsterdam triangle" - the mayor, police chief, and chief public prosecutor - is urging all victims to report to the police

Group of fans are attacked, but apparently it’s them who should be banned. Now, nobody’s trying to claim that Israelis have done absolutely nothing wrong. But this is a crazy suggestion.
Arguing that governing bodies should be taking sides in a political conflict and banning those from one side from taking part is wild. Both sides are very aggressive and have killed far too many people. Individuals are obviously entitled to their opinions, but governing bodies must remain impartial.

If I’m being honest, I’m surprised that a thread that has been started with such a bigoted post hasn’t been shut down. This is a football forum and this sort of stuff doesn’t belong here.

If Macabbi fans were responsible for initiating the trouble before or during the match then it`s their club that should be held responsible, not the state of Israel.
If you go that route then there are a bunch of countries that would fit the agenda for being excommunicated from sports.
Ajax have a significant problem with sections of their support likewise.

An Israeli football team went to play in Amsterdam. Their fans shouted obscenities during a minute`s silence, they chanted about Gaza having no schools because they`d bombed them, and that they intended to "f*ck Arabs" or some bollocks, and ripped down Palestinian flags. They got their xxxxx kicked. They forgot they weren`t carrying guns and didn`t have air support, and their opponents weren`t children or old women. Then, they cried about antisemitism. I`ll bet the vast majority of them are not even Semites.
But, remember, most of them will have served in the IDF. They have previous.

For one thing, Israel isn`t in Europe, so shouldn`t be in UEFA competitions. If anything they should be in the AFA, but they banned them.
I think due to the actions of the Israeli government in conducting genocidal ethnic cleansing on the people of Gaza as well as unprovoked attacks on Lebanon, they should be banned from all sports.
Having seen the videos on twitter of the Israeli fans, pulling down Palestine Flags, singing songs about killing kids, bombing schools and fkn Arabs, then I think they were simply asking for it

The idea that this was an attack on Jews is misleading. It was an attack on Israelis. The conflation of all criticism of Israel with antisemitism has become a very effective way to silence anyone who speaks publicly against Israel.

This is way beyond "speaking out against Israel"
This is pre planned coordinated attacks on football supporters from Tel Aviv. A city which has always been Jewish and never been Arab or Palestinian. Anyone supporting these attacks needs to have a long hard look at themselves.
