Noticed on Facebook that David has walked out of his position in the club shop? Can anyone confirm? If so it’s ridiculous for the amount he has done.

How can you possibly say it’s ridiculous when you don’t even know what’s happened?

Going by the reports, which have been confirmed by a number of different people. That ok?

You don’t know the circumstances behind it so tell me what makes it ridiculous?

Incredible you’ve managed to work that out, well done.

I criticise the club when necessary but unfortunately too many people just quick to jump on the bandwagon without knowing even half the story.

Was not hard to work out out of 50 odd comments with everyone sticking up for David. You have been asked a few times to set the story straight

People sticking up for him because they like him as a person is very different from criticising the club for making a decision they know nothing about.

You know nothing, you`re an absolute fraud. From what I know of you you miss Dunfermline games to Galavant off and work a second job.

Come on then set the record straight. Or it`s another .net classic, I know the real story but I`ll just tell everyone I know it and not present the "real story".

c'mon the pars

What ever the story is...

It`s a sad day that a 80year old who has gave 20+ years unpaid to the club has felt the need to leave/been asked to leave. Not the first good person within the club who has felt the need to either.

Would be keen to hear the full story as David was a proper stalwart of the club, god knows how many hands he shook, I’m sure there’s a great many folk grateful for his service.

So why has he left? Given he`s 80, maybe he`s just wanting a bit of peace and quiet.

If he`s left because of other reasons I`d be quite disappointed.

These threads are pointless and end up going nowhere.

Why post and not provide the finer detail, claiming it’s ridiculous and expecting folk to back it up without actually knowing what’s happened?

He could have happily retired.

He could’ve been caught with his hand in the till for all we know!

No idea. So either come up with the full story or don’t bother at all because otherwise you’re just pulling the poor gent into an unnecessary rammy on a public forum.

He’s put a message up on Facebook thanking all the fans and what happened is between him and the club.

Irrespective of what has or hasn`t happened and off the back of the NW guys withdrawing their efforts, it just seems like another example of the club going backwards.
These people are the lifeblood of the club.
It feels as though we have gone back a few steps, and these are really big shoes to fill.
We can all look forward to a board statement 😉

Not seen a thread with so much guff in a while “my dads bigger than your dad” style

The truth about Dave Lamming will come out in time, probably from Dave himself so stop with this he said, she said nonsense

Please do not make false accusations. This is far from the truth! Although this has come with many challenges to over come the club have been very supportive throughout the last 9 years!`

This was posted on the NW thread by one of the guys who organised the tifos but still we get unfounded claims about the running of the club.

Whatever has happened the gulf between the fans and club is getting bigger.
Will Mr Cook come out with a statement soon as he’s been very quiet?

A very sad day for the club whatever the reason, he was an absolute asset to the club and I`m sure I would not be alone in saying it was a pleasure to visit the club shop and chat and shake hands with David.

If he has been driven out that is a complete disgrace, but I`m sure David is too much of an absolute gentleman and Pars man to disclose if he has been driven out.

I would expect a testament from David Cook thanking him for his years of devoted service and a suitable memento from the club.

So why has he left? Is it because he`s annoyed with the club or is this just speculation?

Ah but Mr Cook is put in a corner whatever he/the club comes out with saying thanks to David. Its obvious something has happened but Cook/the club will just come out thanking him for his services etc and cover up anything that happened.
Look at how much David put into the club in hrs working and helping…Again something is not right with the set up and I hope the hierarchy within DAFC are proud of themselves…our club is turning into a joke now…
I did say about these Germans at the start but hey ho🤷

David always made me feel special when picking up my shirts each season and that handshake is unforgettable. This is criminal.

First the NW giving up and now David is out?

Something stinks at the club right now and we`re due answers.

Jake I’m surprised at you with your comments tbh…David would just not leave after 20 years giving everything to the club…I’m sure it’s frustration on how he is treated and the workings within the club….im sure the club can’t employ a person to run the shop now??
