I`d rather Taylor-Clarke was starting rather than Oakley-Booth tbh.
Not sure what`s up with Ngwenya? Injured or out of favour entirely? Just our luck we bring in competition and he`s now injured (although I`d prefer we played Ngwenya anyway).

Surely injured as Otoo is not a good option at left back from previous games there.

Looks like Tidser isn`t happy at how we`re playing either, which seems odd as presumably he`s told them that`s how to play? Absolutely no threat going forward, passing is woeful, defending is all over the place, no real aggression, Stevens has barely touched the ball when you`d think he`d want to run at theie old men in defence... could go on. This is as bad as I`ve seen in years - as bad as Grant, Hughes or McPake.

The board need to cut their loses and get rid of Tidser. He’s been an absolute disaster. We are so easy to play against and have zero clue. We’re extremely slow in possession and have no urgency trying to get back into the game. We’re worse than under McPake. I’ll go as far to say Tidser is the worst manager we’ve had and Cook is the worst Chairma in my time. It’s pathetic showing and for the first time in 30 years I don’t think I’ll renew my season ticket next season. It’s becoming a chore going to watch this.
Exploring the market for English players has proven to be a disaster at other clubs yet we stupidly fall into the trap as well. We should have been looking closer to home - at players who understand the Scottish game.

After the last game at starks that made my mind up that Mcpakes time was up. That was 10 times better than the first half I`ve just watched.
At one time I thought we were quite happy defending a 0-1 defeat and that was with 11 men on the park.
Something ferocious needs to be said and done at half time.

It doesn’t feel like a league match, it’s like a cup game against a team a few leagues down. We’re not actually competitive.
Wotherspoon the only player who is trying. Very little from the other 10 out there, how we signed 9 players in January and a single defender is the only one good enough. Who signed these players? They should be shown the door.
Thank god either way we don’t have to watch most of these duds again next year. Many should be nowhere near this team.

I don`t think Raith have been out of first gear !
It`s not that they are great , we are just Honking ! and if this is what Tidser is wanting to serve up , well it`s not for me
Absolutely no fight , no desire to get on the ball and get up the park
I try and not comment too much when there is still 45 Mins to go because anything can happen , but unless we actually get on the ball and drive at Raith it`s another dunfermline nil , another goal against us that could have been avoided
the way we are tippy tappy across the back you would think we were winning , you cannot score goals if the ball is in your 18 yard box

All the loan players that have had the minutes brought in Jan are duds barring C-Mullen. Hampson and arguable rivaldo have not the chance yet but I`ve no desire to even see. Recruited by our Chelsea Wannabeeowners with dreams of building a giant squad in the hope something sticks.
Tidser ball isn`t working. I said after the 0-0 with queens park maybe we were a week or so away from something clicking..well that was wrong..too big a squad, not enough to work together. T
Only hope...the only ones who score at all we need to get fit and in the team..which ain`t much I realise.
Need Todd and Cooper back fit with Chris Kane and maybe we will have the goals then ..not saying that`s a mega exciting prospect, I`m trying to find a hope and that`s as good as I can see.

Id say Bene is more of Rovers man than a Pars man……

Think Hamilton has done OK defensively against Easton, Kane has tried but had no support at all and Yeboah has at least looked like he cared even if he doesn`t look like a footballer. The rest? Awful. Like amateurish in the extreme. Like they`ve never played football at all, let alone played together. Nothing at all from that to suggest that we`ll survive in this division.

Can we blame cook for bringing Tidser in ?
I am sure in his interview recently he took the credit saying he was the one he wanted ?
He is definately out his depth , just like Mcpake there is no plan B
we are totally disjointed all over the park , cannot even see where we will get a goal from never mind a win
Absolutely got what we deserved tonight ! again we didn`t turn up
it`s bad that on a Friday night your hoping Morton beat hamilton and Livingston beat Airdrie ! already we can see how it`s panning out

In a season of lows this bunch prove they can always go lower.
This team looks shot. Players getting a game due to lack of options alongside young players with no presence who are rabbit in the headlights and they are all consistently stinking the place out.
Only positive is for most they will be gone in 7 games and we won’t have to keep watching them. McCann should be lucky to see anymore minutes in a pars shirt with that effort for their second goal, amateur hour and the gall to blame the keeper!
Teams just need to play 442 and work hard and they will beat us without trying.
I genuinely don’t think we’ll win another game this season and it’s more more poisonous and toxic by the minute.

Let`s honestly at the game tonight. 1st 15 mins, nothing in the game. Then Toby had the rush of blood, conceded, the fans go mental, and the players retreat into their shells. From there on in absolutely murder, but if players are hiding and not showing for it, what chance do you have? The keeper then proceeds to be at fault again for the 2nd goal. We lose the game 2 0, your keeper basically chucks 2 in.
Whilst I get the football is slow, this is due to the low confidence amongst them and basically scared. The fans certainly don`t help the situation atm with the booing shouting and berating the players and management. I asked someone tonight what get it forward actually means and what he expects from it and the couldn`t answer that except up the park. It`s impossible to move the ball forward with purpose when the players are hiding. Let`s face it, the football has been rancid for years now. We don`t have the players to play kick and charge, and they don`t have the confidence or fans have the patience for the slower build-up.

In a brief span of time, the new owners have failed. They have failed to appoint a suitable manager, neglected to recruit players who could enhance our performance, and are struggling to secure our position in the league.
The forthcoming decisions they undertake are crucial for both the club and us the supporters. The fans have turned their backs on the team and, soon, the club itself. We support the team both vocally and financially, yet they currently provide us with no incentive to continue our backing. The only course of action I envision for the fans is to vote with their feet. Should the supporters withdraw their allegiance entirely, we may witness the owners and board being compelled to take decisive action.

No point getting rid of Tidser. The players are awful. When Comrie stepped up and gave Bene an angle for a forward pass, he went sideways. When Raith cleared a corner in the 75 minute, Pollock sprints out even though he will never win the ball and forced the defender to play back to the keeper. Roles reversed, no pressure and the ball is thrown back into our box. Our attacking player`s first touch fires the ball vertically 7 feet in the air.
I`m sure Stevens is a top 5 aside player but is no use at 11s. Mullin aside, the new signings are awful. The analytic software needs an upgrade

phutupfeet agree to a point. The likes of Chalmers and Hamilton not showing for the ball in midfield has annoyed me for years
If Tidser wants to play his style of football though then he needs a plan beyond passing it between two CBs and the keeper. Taylor-Clarke seems to like collecting the ball and playing forward so I though he was a big part of this but he was benched tonight and we were back to a midfield who don`t give options for a pass. I don`t understand that decision, or why Wetherspoon doesn`t play more of a role within this setup. I agree the players are likely letting him down but it`s hard to make out what Tidser`s actually trying to do here

Made a late decision to go to the game, should’ve known better.
We were just so so poor from start to finish. Really looks like the players are not liking the way Tidser wants them to play and are really struggling.
There was no movement, no running down the channels, nothing, just static, that was the main problem, you get the ball there’s no way to move it up the park if no one is looking for the ball and moving into space.
We’ve been awful for some time but tonight it felt like it’s fallen into that toxic category again, there were arguments in the crowd throughout, songs about Tidser going, players came to applaud at the end and were ushered away in unpleasant terms.
We need to be frank as well and understand that we need to let go of a lot of these players if we can, seriously the majority can go.
The only players I would really look to keep is Comrie, Cooper, Kane, Mullen & Otoo (how poor has he become recently!)
If we were to fall into League One then Todd and KRH.
All the rest can go as far as I’m concerned.
This is a massive rebuilding job, and Tidser so far hasn’t shown anything to indicate he should be trusted with the budget for next season.
Forget about the youth angle (it was never going to work) and data (if only life was that easy) and bring in an experienced manager who knows the Scottish leagues and the player pool enough to pick out the ones that can do a job.

I just don`t think we can truly say how good or bad Tidser is. We talk about Lanza John but ignore how Ayr, after watching his 2 previous games, utterly wiped the floor with us.
The players are terrible. We had a chance to break after a Raith corner and McCann jogged slower than Wetherspoon who was carrying the ball. What hope do you have with that mentality in the team.
And the signings are awful. Outsiders underestimate Scottish football.

Joe Chalmers? Command the ball?? Aye in League 1, even then he was bang average most weeks.
Joe Chalmers is great when he has time but this whole at least he’s available for a pass is a weak argument. He’s too slow. He’s too negative. He losses the ball to often.

Kettlewell left Motherwell because fans were abusing his family didn`t he? We`re not blameless in that respect unfortunately.
I’d put money on there being bit more to that story than “fan abuse “
I’d take him in a heartbeat btw.
Sack this Tidser clown. He’s Sunday league at best .

Hamilton and Bene are Pars men at heart but I think Hamilton`s a liability and Bene can`t do anything constructive. We`re short of a commanding presence in the middle o` the park.
I`d sooner go with the Pars men than the loans and takers. Hammy was my Pars motm tonight. That lad bleeds black and white. Raging at every decision against us. Tackles in. Blocks. This is the bandit end of the season. He has to be a starter.

Honestly, just a stupid comment.
Please Eck name one club in Scotland that’s never had this type of issue?

Other clubs may have had it as an issue but what difference does that make? If Kettlewell saw it as a resigning issue at Motherwell why wouldn`t he see it as a resigning issue elsewhere?

Yeah Rigger Al. Hammy was my motm.
He went flying into a needless tackle on the edge of our box in the first minute instantly putting the pressure on us. Can`t really play football. Will be good in league one though

Was up early and for some reason decided to watch the game back and we were terrible.
Bene, Mullen and Tobi constantly play slow passive football around the back from side to side, when there were plenty of chances to play it into Wotherspoon, Stevens, Oakley and Comrie time and time again as they were in space but no one wants to make a pass to break the lines.
If we’re not aimlessly passing it around the back, we are punting it up the pitch and letting the centre halves clear unchallenged, they must have won every header. Also not picking up any second balls.
For the size of McCann he is a sh!tehouse, back out of so many challenges, such as the 2nd goal, and lets defenders have a free header and puts no pressure on them.
Stevens was horrendous last night gave the ball away at almost every opportunity.
Do we work on set plays at all? Delivery from corners is pathetic and our free kicks are just punted to the back post for Bene to challenge and ultimately lose.
Oakley offers absolutely nothing to the team.
I could honestly go on and on, there was absolutely no positives at all from last night.
Tidser also looked fine when he was shoving snus in his gums and talking to the players during the game and stoppages.

Someone mentioned the fans getting on the players’ backs. For me the most worrying thing last night was the opposite - before, during and after the game the atmosphere was completely flat. It felt like we were all expecting exactly the type of performance we got. Another £24 down the drain.
I don’t know what the answer is but I don’t think it should include Tidser.

Ahoy we won a corner in a rare foray into rovers half and for some unknown reason Otoo took the corner which obv resulted in hitting the first man. We don’t even appear to have a designated set piece taker in the team.
Too many players offered nothing last night, too many offered nothing this season.
McCann genuinely doesn’t know what to do on the park except run about.
The post below replying to me is by one of .nets finest champions of mediocrity!

Agreed. Why is Wotherspoon not involved with set pieces? That is 100% on Tidser.

I know he’d been booked (for a good tackle) but why was Wetherspoon hooked yet Oakley got the full 90 minutes. And why only use 3 subs?

Where to start with this?
I wasn’t at the game (I had an excuse, not that I need one) so I watched it on TV (after a fashion – the coverage wasn’t good and there was some exciting wallpaper to examine instead) so I didn’t have the best view.
The first goal seemed to be one of those things – being “brave” with the ball, losing it then a lack of pace and a touch of hesitation. Hard to blame the keeper – he has to make an instant decision with the knowledge that if he gets it wrong it’s a red card and game over (although it was game over anyway).
The second goal was McCann’s fault, I think. Instructive that he and Tobi were blaming each other. More on that later.
I thought Pollock was a bit naughty allowing his boot to catch JCM in the face like that. Usually players know where their feet are and where the opponent’s head is and make sure one doesn’t connect with the other. JCM looked a complete mess but they did well to patch him up (and they had a spare shirt hidden away somewhere).
I think Spoony takes corners from the right, Otoo from the left. Todd has taken them from both quadrants. Who decides this, I don`t know.
It wasn’t a thrashing. I’ve seen plenty of them, particularly against Celtic and Rangers. Sometimes, particularly in the dog days of a manager’s reign you don’t exactly wish for a thumping, but you think it would be acceptable as it might presage a change. I felt like that at Cappielow recently under McPake.
This felt more like one of those games when you are handicapped because of a red-card, or a serious injury. You think that the game is effectively over as a contest from early on – the best you can hope for is a late consolation. Here, Raith didn’t look like they’d score every time they got the ball, but we never looked like scoring (other than Young’s late effort). I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Pars as shot-shy in front of goal (and I think I’ve lived through 11 relegations).
When you’re playing well, it all seems so natural. You don’t have to think, you just do. I bet that if you took 11 Celtic players (4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards and a goalkeeper) threw them the ball and told them to go out and play, they’d sort it out between them and win.
I can see that coaching, (by repeating drills, say, so that correct positioning and whatever becomes second nature) should add value. But sometimes you become too focused on process not results. You can`t see the wood for the trees. And it seems that our players have become an incoherent mess with the ball. Not playing as a team. Not sure what they should be doing or where they should be doing it. Defensively we are fairly sound, but all over the place in possession. In such circumstances, they need to keep it simple, I think. McLaughlin recognised that – it’s not a guarantee of success by any means, but it gives you a chance.
There are worrying signs –

There are worrying signs of deeper issues: the McCann/Tobi contretemps. Brief, but it hints at underlying frustration. Hamilton getting booked (but he always does). Wotherspoon’s dive-in tackle. Otoo’s loss of form. Even the normally placid Comrie seemed to be losing it a little. Increasingly bizarre team selections.
Early in the season I said we looked more like a lower-mid table side, rather than a bottom of the league side. I’m starting to revise that opinion.

Because Tidser looked like a rabbit in the headlights. I honestly thought we were going to get an Ally McLeod Argentina moment from him last night. Unfortunately I don’t see Tidser giving us a Holland game.

Tbh the issue we face is, and i seen on this thread or another that we dont play through the lines, but i dont think we have enough movement upfront and in midfield to play the way we want, grantes bene always either looks for an easy pass or hoofs it long, i seen JCM constantly look forward, notbing was on so he`d rather keep the ball, theres not enough interchanging for my liking, if we do play mccann he simply cannot play on the left where he cuts inside, he needs to try and run or hold the ball up, and cross it as he did against partick and rovers, basically we need to work on movement, if we work on that it eradicates this tippy tappy stuff at the back and adds direct quick short passing to our game instead, which i believe thats the way football should be played

You`re right about the lack of movement, shellypar. Michael Stewart referred to it last night in the commentary.
