Another below average performance for yet another Premiership referee in the Championship today.
It doesn’t seem to get much better.

He seemed to want the game to flow which I like but did seem to go a bit too far in letting things go.

Best ref this season. Let loads go for both sides that other refs would have been blowing fouls for. Let the game flow. Sure he missed a couple and did blow for a couple of soft ones but overall the best we have had this season.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

There is a difference between letting the game flow and ignoring cynical fouls, late challenges abd obvious free kicks though.

Looked like a two handed push in the back for a pentalty in the first minute.

He wasn’t perfect, he’s a ref after all.
Very few decision today that I disagreed with. The one where Matty was taken out at the dug outs should have been a foul. However over all he was pretty fair and consistent. Rather have a ref like that than one who gets “ played” and ends up blowing for foul after foul after foul like the one we had against St Johnstone.
Refs get mega criticism and rightly so most of the time but the ref today was the best I have seen in a very very long time…
He was also right to ignore Chris Kanes pathetic attempts to win fouls. It’s a part of his game I dislike. Cost us possession a couple of times late on..
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Agree. Both hands were in his back.

Morton could have had a penalty for a pretty blatant push from a corner. Think it was Mullen on their #6 at the back post.
There was quite a cynical one on big Barney (maybe why he didn`t make it out for 2nd half?) where he played advantage but when the play eventually stoppedn a while later he barely spoke to their player let alone book him.
