The fact that Terrell`s been on the bench in recent games is an indicator that it`s sorted, Dave. I don`t believe it was anything major. The reason he hasn`t started any games since is more to do with Mehmet having played so well that he couldn`t be left out.
Who plays on Saturday will depend on how well both keepers have performed in training and perhaps how irritated the gaffer was at Airdrie`s first goal last week.

Is there another keeper incoming?

Mehmet saved us two points in Perth. His error on Saturday did not lose us the game. There were 10 in front of him that lost the game.
New keeper …if we get one….will be just as susceptible to errors as the rest.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Personally I would be happy with Terrell back in goals on Saturday. Mehmet did well for a few games but he is liable to let in some howlers which he demonstrated against Airdrie. Terrell is better with his feet and for coming out for balls.

Mehmet has a track record of conceding howlers. Yes, he can be a good shot stopper and has saved a few pens but he doesn’t come and claim many crosses and will drop the odd clanger.
Terrel has let a few soft goals in but not as bad as that first goal on Saturday, most high school goalies would have kept that out, it was truly horrendous.
I don’t know what goalies would be available as we only have free agents or SPL loans as possibilities now.

I think Terrell is #1 in Lennon`s eyes, dropped due to this disciplinary issue before the Rovers game & Mehmet did well for 3 games, but I always thought that once Mehmet had a poor game Terrell would come back in.
The fact that it`s a cup game this weekend probably makes it even simpler for Lennon to give Terrell a start.
It`s a shame for Deniz & he`s been really professional but he`s had loads of chances with us & mistakes like the one on Sat just shouldn`t be ok at our level, we need to be ruthless with players if we`re going to kick on.
Agree Munn just isn`t ready yet.

Mehmet is prone to making errors. I don’t think we should be overlooking them just because he has had a few good games. We need that consistency from every player, every game.
If he hadn’t lost the first goal and left us chasing the game then the outcome might have been different. It’s debatable but you need confidence in your goalie.

Best of luck to Munn. I’m not surprised he’s been recalled because he was our 3rd keeper. Better all round he goes back.
Still can’t believe folk think Mehmet is good enough. Guys been dropped by everyone that could drop him. He cut the angle well against Bowie but Bowie made it easy for him. Everything else was straight at him. Including the free kick on Saturday. The Rovers free kick. The multiple corners that he dropped etc etc etc. he’s a decent enough back up for a Scottish Championship club but to me that’s it.

Seem to remember an English keeper letting the ball go through his legs at Hampden, didn`t stop him getting 60+ international caps!
All keepers make mistakes and since they are the last line of defence it is fatal, any outfield player can make as many as he wants.

I think that Deniz anticipated a better effort on goal and was down before the ball trundled over him. At that distance a level of anticipation was needed to get across the goal. The shot was a duffer and made Deniz look bad, but it was for all intents and purposes unlucky.bhe has saved us on more occasions than not this season. Some you win some you lose

Mehmet has been in and bombed out after playing well (maybe even a clean sheet?) already this season so expect a change tomorrow.
Watched it back for the first time earlier. Odd how he isn`t going down for that on one knee as opposed to actually diving when you see how weakly it was hit. Better getting body behind it like baseball catcher incase it kicks up like a spinner in cricket.

I agree that Hammy and Rudden both should have done better last weekend but perhaps since it’s a thread about a goalkeeper, goalkeeping is going to be the topic of conversation.
Plus I think Hammy or Rudden would have saved the free kick. Even if they weren’t allowed to use their hands.
Actually Mehmet would have saved it if he had just stood still.
I also don’t think that’s the first time I’ve said that about a Mehmet mistake.

Both Mehmet and Hamilton are not what we need if we want to be more than midtable also rams in this league.
Mehmet get la highlighted as he’s a keeper so mistakes lead to goals but Hamilton needs to have a good game to look capable and people mistake poor positioning, a lack of pace, poor on the ball and miss timed challenges for good play just because he gets “stuck in”. Gilmour raised the bar for us this season about what a decent midfielder looks like.

Munn clearly wasn’t good enough, hence why he wasn’t even making the bench for us, which is further supported by who he has now signed for. Mehmet and Terrell are probably at a similar level, decent shot stoppers, but both have a howler in them. Taking age and wages into consideration, I think we’ll only keep one of them for next season.

Even the very best goalkeepers are prone to the occasional "howler." Much can depend on how good the players in front of him are. They can sometimes bale him out and at other times make him look bad even by doing something apparently trivial. e.g. passing to his weaker foot aan inside the goal posts.

The worry with Mehmet is that kind of mistake can snowball his confidence in the wrong direction. Hopefully Lennon has changed that part about his game and he doesn’t feel too bad about it. Folk claiming he should have saved 2nd are just trying to cover the fact Kearney got schooled by McGratten.
On Munn - looked alright at first, but slowly started making errors then the shocker at St Johnstone pretty much ended it for him.

Very good point Raymie. Them and Matty have fought their way back into the team and had good seasons.
I was very surprised when Hammy wasn`t in the starting 11 against Hibs but the team were very calm, collected and solid without him. I thought the manager got his tactics spot on that day and wondered whether he felt that Hammy`s all action, sometimes excitable approach wasn`t a good fit for the game.

Of those 3 games, Hamilton only started one against Raith and was lucky not to be sent off. Had TOB not picked up an injury against Saints I`m sure he would have started last week. You know what your`e getting with Hamilton, he`ll get stuck in and wins his fair share in the air for a smaller guy but his all round game isn`t good enough to take us forward.

For a centre midfielder Hamiltons ability to pass a ball to a team mate is terrible. He’s in the team for his work rate and aggression without the ball, thats about it. And it normally leads to cards.

Hammy has his limitations but so do all players. I think Hammy has his place in the squad although I’m unsure how he’d get on in the premier league. Everyone knows hammy has a tendency to get booked and will get sent off every so often.
I don’t see where Deniz Mehmet fits in past this season. He was given a 3 year deal and a wage rise by McPake and to me he’s only good enough to sit on the bench. I’ve got more confidence in Terrell than Mehmet. I’m also certain Terrell has a howler in him but he’s young, learning and looks promising. Mehmet is full of howlers, is weak mentally, poor under crosses, nervous about coming off his line and drops clangers more regularly than he should. I only see him as being a back up keeper in the championship.
Best of luck to Munn.
