It`s up to the Procurator Fiscal`s Office now. Let`s hope they come to a decision more quickly than the Polis.

Whenever I see a story like this I always wonder what it`s being used to help distract us from. The Police and media have sat on this one for almost 3 years and the Tories get them to resurrect it every so often to cover their own bad news.
I wonder if it`s to do with Mark Menzies Tory MP and the ransom paid to his kidnappers, which the Tory party have known about for 3 months but it seems the Police have not received a complaint.
Previous allegations against him include paying a male Brazilian prostitute for sex, trying to buy drugs from him, and getting a dog drunk, for unknown intentions

I`m not being funny, but if he`s charged with the full £600k I`d love to know what he spent it on. Living in a fairly typical 4 bed new build that probably cost £200k when purchased and driving a Mondeo.

He had a motor home and a jag worth 200k. And a detached villa in Portugal 🇵🇹.
Between him and his wife they were earning 220k a year

The caravan wasn`t even used. It was intended for campaign use before COVID and was stored for free on his mum`s drive. Don`t think that can be included.
Villa in the Algarve though? Not being funny, but I`d expect a fancier house than that if they were on a combined income of £440k.

There was a vehicle included in the SNP`s accounts at the same sort of value as the motor home was said to cost so that looks like it was accounted for correctly. I still can`t understand how the auditors didn`t spot any major embezzlement.

Could be something of far lower value like a holiday or photocopier. I suspect this is going to be very dull tbh. It also feels like a convenient distraction from two MPs who have been extorted. Perhaps I`ve watched too much TV drama but compromised politicians are very dangerous. The pair this week appear to have been a bit promiscuous so God knows what they`ve done to avoid things being leaked.

If these are credible charges, which you`d imagine they must be, there`s no way the fraud wouldn`t have been apparent well before now. We`ve got a couple of Tory naughty boys and an upcoming election. Seems a bit convenient.
Although Murrell isn`t an SNP member, mud sticks by association.

The Tory naughty boys is still being widely reported. Murrell was an snp member and their chief executive when these alleged crimes took place. He was the husband of the most powerful politician in Scotland when these alleged crimes happened. He was only arrested once his wife was no longer the most powerful politician in Scotland. Nothing to see here though eh guys because it`s from the party that we favour. We honestly do get the politicians we deserve.

That`s what I mean. It all feels very convenient in terms of timing.
The Tory sleaze-balls are potentially a massive data breach that have undermined the ability of MPs to make independent decisions. Who knows what influence third parties with dirt on this lot may have had.

But how would this convenience have been orchestrated? It would suggest that the police are doing the bidding of the Tory party even though damaging the SNP brand directly benefits Labour more than the Tories. Was it also convenient that the police seemingly only made a move on Sturgeon`s husband once she was no longer in power? I mean if you believe that the police were pressured to charge now for political purposes it suggests that they could have also been pressured to not investigate for political purposes.

So after 17 years of SNP rule and after the SNP reorganised and approved all the major positions within Police Scotland that same organisation is rife with corruption. Is that the line we are going with?

All political parties were in favour of the formation of Police Scotland, not just the SNP, and I wasn`t aware the government was involved in the appointment of its officers. No one has mentioned corruption but I`d like to know why it has taken almost three years to charge someone in connection with their investigations. We`re never going to get an objective assessment from the MSM because they`re all against the objectives of he SNP and are quick to publicise any story that shows them in a bad light.

Chief Constables are appointed after the approval of the Justice Secretary. The current one was approved by Angela Constance. Corruption is very much like what is being implied here. It` being suggested that the charges against Mundell had been held up so that the court case would conicide with the Holyrood elections in two years time.
I mean I`m still now sure who is behind this supposed conspiracy to frame Mundell. Is it the Tories or is it Labour? Whoever it was how did they manage to pressure the lead detective in this case to dither and pause the investigation so that he could charge Mundell so that it would not only distract from the shenanigans of a couple of Tory MPs (turns out Israel and Iran trading missiles must also be part of this subterfuge) but would also be unwanted coverage during the Scottish elections.
Don`t worry though I`m sure in the weeks and months or even years to come some of the junior officers involved in the case will come forward to detail how they couldn`t understand why their commanding officer wasn`t pressing ahead with the charges sooner. Maybe even the lead detective himself will go public with how one dark, foggy night months earlier as he was getting into his car a figure came out from the shadows and menacingly told him that it would be in his best interests to charge Mundell on the 16th of April.
Of course it`s all just bonkers just like when it was insinuated by some that Sturgeon and her inner circle were behind Salmond being charged over his misdeeds.
Now I have no idea if Mundell is innocent or not of the allegations against him. He gets the benefit of the doubt until the courts say otherwise. Mind you the courts must surely be in on this conspiracy as well so what does it matter.

In her case she was getting smeared by the tories for what she was doing to BJ .
The SNP case is based on allegations of fraudulent behaviour towards members and Independence supporters.
