 Minute to midnight...

....as far as more US strikes against Iran goes. Embassies are being evacuated which is usually the sign that action is imminent. Or course it could still all be part of the high stakes poker game being played out but the massive armada assembled will be burning through millions of dollars daily so if it is it can`t be played forever. A bluff will have to be called or a hand folded. I would imagine the Iranian regime won`t fall easily but as we have seen in the past sometimes such authoritarian dictatorships collapse suddenly once pressure is applied. Of course the aftermath will be when the real chaos could begin and who knows where that will leave the region.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

The Zionist Genocidal maniacs will decide if and when America attacks Iran.

“ Who knows where that will leave the region “. Worse obviously…

From what I’ve been following here in Oz, the situation looks more complicated than some headlines suggest. Peace talks are scheduled to continue on Monday, but will Netanyahu keep his hand off the trigger until then?

Even limited strikes carry escalation risks, especially if regional actors (like the Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iraq) become directly involved.

It is reported that US military commanders have been expressing grave concerns to Trump. They acknowledge that America’s bases in the region are vulnerable and question whether they can sustain a high-intensity war for any length of time.

One issue that doesn’t get enough attention is logistics. As we have seen in Ukraine, modern warfare consumes munitions at an extraordinary rate, and there have been ongoing discussions among defence analysts about the strain on stockpiles and production capacity after years of sustained commitments elsewhere.

If operations expand, sustainability becomes just as important as initial capability. If the war extends beyond a fortnight, say, will we see ships having to withdraw from the conflict to recharge their weaponry?

And how would this all impact the defence of Ukraine or Taiwan?

Beyond the immediate military dimension, there’s the economic factor. A significant portion of global oil and gas flows through the Strait of Hormuz. Even temporary disruptions, damage to energy infrastructure, or threats to shipping lanes and ports could create ripple effects in energy markets.

We’ve seen in the past how sensitive global markets are to perceived instability in that corridor. Do we want petrol prices to double overnight due to reduced supply? Do we want our food prices to rise as well because of increased transport costs? Of course not.

That’s why the question isn’t only whether a strike on Iran is militarily feasible, but whether our leaders are fully accounting for escalation pathways that could go off in all sorts of ugly directions.

Yes as expected Israel has attacked.

The Israeli defence minister, Israel Katz, said the “pre-emptive strike” was to “remove threats against the State of Israel”.

Surely Iran should be attacking Israel then ?…..Pre-emptively.

I thought the Donald confirmed last year that all
of Irans nuclear facilities were completely destroyed ?

I hope Iran pummels Tel Aviv…

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

"Pre-emptive" they say.

Did they just want to get in before the Americans?

Looks like it was a coordinated attack (preemptive, of course) between Israel and USA.
Trump has just confirmed American involvement

Israel made the first strike so the US can say they got involved to support an ally.

Apparently Iran earlier took out a US surveillance drone valued at $230 billion. The most complicated piece of equipment available.
