 Farage and the 5 million

Nige got absolutely roasted by Sally Nugent on the BBC earlier.
Apparently nobody cares and he can spend this unconditional gift that he received from a foreign based cryptocurrency billionaire on buying cars though if he wanted.
He`s clearly rattled and it`s a delight to see.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

He`s a wholly contemptible individual.

MPs should be given a decent pay rise but banned from moonlighting and should have zero income from other sources during their tenure as a public servant.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

Surprisingly, even Nick Ferrari was giving him a hard time over it on LBC, which is a surprise. Supposedly took a tanking on it today.

And yet, the morons will still folk to support him as a “normal bloke” out to help them.

Farage is done IMO. He may still carry a core following but I doubt he’ll ever get enough votes now because of this.

I think you can put him the same category as Corbyn… seriously!!! I mean they will both always have their supporters but the majority see through them.

I saw multiple clips of Farage being interviewed about the £5m this morning, by Sally Nugent, Nick Ferrari and Julia Hartley-Brewer. They all seemed very similar to me.

TBH none of them seemed like the “gotcha” they were claimed to be – he seemed irritated by the questions and critical of the interviewer, but he always seems irritated and critical of the interviewer. To me, this seems evidence that he is well dodgy and not to be trusted. to others, it suggests that he is an anti-establishment figure who won’t stand for any nonsense (albeit a privately educated, enormously wealthy one who has spent most of his career working in the city or failing to attend the parliaments he was elected to).

No doubt his personal security costs are high – how high would vary with the level of threat and the length of time these are required. Would £5m cover it? I’ve no idea, but it makes little difference if he buys his own Ferrari and uses this money for security, or the other way around.

His suggestion that he temporarily wasn’t a politician for a couple of days when he accepted the donation/gift doesn’t wash, but so what? Trump was a convicted felon and had multiple other accusations on his charge-sheet but people still voted for him.

Many people donate money to political parties. What do they expect in return, if anything? Many people get freebies. What is reasonable and where do you draw the line?

But why was he doing the rounds of media studios? Is it because he’s been avoiding the press of late? Or because Starmer has quit, he’s desperate to remind people he was meant to be the next Prime Minister and posting videos of himself standing in front of a field in a tweed suit and a checked shirt won’t cut it anymore?
