Nige got absolutely roasted by Sally Nugent on the BBC earlier.
Apparently nobody cares and he can spend this unconditional gift that he received from a foreign based cryptocurrency billionaire on buying cars though if he wanted.
He`s clearly rattled and it`s a delight to see.

He`s a wholly contemptible individual.
MPs should be given a decent pay rise but banned from moonlighting and should have zero income from other sources during their tenure as a public servant.

And yet, the morons will still folk to support him as a “normal bloke” out to help them.

Farage is done IMO. He may still carry a core following but I doubt he’ll ever get enough votes now because of this.
I think you can put him the same category as Corbyn… seriously!!! I mean they will both always have their supporters but the majority see through them.

I saw multiple clips of Farage being interviewed about the £5m this morning, by Sally Nugent, Nick Ferrari and Julia Hartley-Brewer. They all seemed very similar to me.
TBH none of them seemed like the “gotcha” they were claimed to be – he seemed irritated by the questions and critical of the interviewer, but he always seems irritated and critical of the interviewer. To me, this seems evidence that he is well dodgy and not to be trusted. to others, it suggests that he is an anti-establishment figure who won’t stand for any nonsense (albeit a privately educated, enormously wealthy one who has spent most of his career working in the city or failing to attend the parliaments he was elected to).
No doubt his personal security costs are high – how high would vary with the level of threat and the length of time these are required. Would £5m cover it? I’ve no idea, but it makes little difference if he buys his own Ferrari and uses this money for security, or the other way around.
His suggestion that he temporarily wasn’t a politician for a couple of days when he accepted the donation/gift doesn’t wash, but so what? Trump was a convicted felon and had multiple other accusations on his charge-sheet but people still voted for him.
Many people donate money to political parties. What do they expect in return, if anything? Many people get freebies. What is reasonable and where do you draw the line?
But why was he doing the rounds of media studios? Is it because he’s been avoiding the press of late? Or because Starmer has quit, he’s desperate to remind people he was meant to be the next Prime Minister and posting videos of himself standing in front of a field in a tweed suit and a checked shirt won’t cut it anymore?

Farage must be laughing all the way to the bank! From the Guardian -
Nigel Farage received £270,000 from a gold marketer for which he is a brand ambassador, his single biggest payment as an MP. The Reform UK leader has been criticised in the past over his £400,000-a-year second job promoting the idea for Direct Bullion that people should buy physical gold and put it in their pension pots. The £270,000 payment, which is double his fee from 2025, was received in May and appears in Farage’s latest entry in parliament’s register of interests, published on Tuesday.
Anna Turley, the Labour party chair, said: “He pretends to be on the side of ordinary working people but in truth he’s just in it for himself and will sell his time to the highest bidder. He should be focused on putting more pounds back in his Clacton constituents’ pockets rather than racking up payments off the back of gold sales.”

Turns out Farage spent a few months telling people in Reform that he needed a million a year to cover lost earnings if he became an MP. Then, lo and behold, someone gives him £5 million and he agrees to be an MP, for a term of 5 years.
Probably just a coincidence though, right?
Either way, I think there needs to be a proper inquiry into his and his various parties` funding. In fact, maybe we have to look into the funding of all the loony right parties.

Far too much overlooked here. The Grenfell tower disaster has basically made it more difficult for small businesses to get involved with fire stopping/fire rated doors/screens/manufacture of fire rated products etc but how many blocks of flats have had their inspections and surveys done yet?

Sorry let me clarify a little! I’m sure they still do fire safety checks on high rise flats etc.
There was a cladding remediation programme set up post the Grenfell disaster. Given the number of buildings it’s a long process but in Scotland we’ve been terrible at it. By late 2025 only 16 had been completed. Thats the assessments not the remediation work that they require. All 16 require remediation work.
The Scottish Government received an extra £97million from Westminster to help fund the scheme through Barnett consequentials in 2021-22 but it wasn’t ring-fenced funding or anything like that. It was just extra funding received through the Barnett formula.

Nominations have closed with 34 candidates standing - no-one called Corbyn but 3 Raving Loonies, and several other inveterate by-election candidates. It looks a little farcical.

Nominations have closed with 34 candidates standing - no-one called Corbyn but 3 Raving Loonies, and several other inveterate by-election candidates. It looks a little farcical.
I think Laurence Fox was "Lewis" not Morse - I used to enjoy that programme - I confess it`s harder to watch having heard the actor`s pronouncements. Is it possible to divorce appreciation of artistic talent or performance from the artist`s personal life or views?
I actually think both the Tories and Labour have done themselves out of one. Given all his bad press recently, he could have been there for the taking but also-they’re giving free press to other smaller parties who will gain media coverage they otherwise wouldn’t have gotten. Worst case scenario-Nigel beats them on his home turf. No biggie in the scheme of it IMO

I see another one of the obvious attempts at deflection worked.
What on earth does the tragedy at Grenfell have to do with Farage`s undeclared donations?
I’m going to vote for Farage.
I trust him more than Labour and SNP
Thought you were against the rubber boat crossings? 🤔 a thing your man Farage is directly responsible for…..
Well since you want more illegal immigration, I’m sure we can count on your vote Dave 👍🏻
Show me where I want more illegal immigration? 😂 if I did Id have voted Brexit…….
Well if you’re against it you’re definitely voting for him or Rupert Lowe
Name one party that openly backs illegal immigration.

I`ve seen it said that the £5m could be treated as "disguised remuneration" and would therefore be subject to tax, which would presumably lead to tax bills for both Farage and Reform UK Limited.

Kevin Whately was Lewis.
Laurence Fox was DS James Hathaway.

Richard Tice being investigated by the police for some sort of possible dodgy financing of Reform by some convicted fraudster. For a layman like myself it`s a bit too convoluted for me to get a proper handle on it as opposed to the £5 million that Farage was given from a foreign based crypto billionaire. A lot easier to understand what was going on with that.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

The convicted fraudster ("Posh" George Cottrell) who was, at the time, repeatedly photographed by Farage`s side`s mother (Fiona Cottrell) gave £1 million to one of Richard Tice (who was, at the time, Chair of Reform UK Ltd)`s companies "Britain Means Business" half of which Tice subsequently donated to Reform UK Ltd. What`s convoluted or confusing about that TOWK? :D
Anyway, it was flagged as suspicious for some reason and, as it is illegal in the UK to attempt to hide the true source of a political donation, the police have become involved.
Apparently George and his mum have been interviewed under caution.

It`s becoming clearer now Wotsit as it`s been reported that the mother of convicted fraudster, George Cottrell was transferred £2m by her son just before made a seven figure donation to the company owned by Tice.
I`m sure convicted fraudster Cottrell just had the nations best interests at heart when he made those donations though just like the Nigel Farage had when he took five million quid from a foreign based crypto billionaire.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

I suspect this is the reason they are so angry with the immigrants.
They are pissed that they are using all the boats that they need to funnel around all their cash.
