Dunfermline are considering a move for ex Motherwell midfielder Craig Clay, according to a report in The Courier.
Pars boss James McPake plans to run the rule over the 32-year-old in a bounce game against Queen`s Park as he looks to strengthen the Fifers.
Clay left Sutton United earlier this summer and is a free agent. He moved to Fir Park in 2016 and spent a year in Lanarkshire before leaving to join Lleyton Orient.

Yip would add a bit of physical presence. Nothing fancy, keeps it simple, vocal.
CH looked decent. Think he will need a couple more run outs for reserves too before going into first team.
Sam Young was really good. Think he should be playing every week for first team now.
Cooper was disappointing.
Keeper did not have too much to do. Good organiser, vocal and distribution was good. Comfortable with ball at feet.
What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

Wighton was rubbish in league one campaign aswell. Should went when we went up along with Chalmers and Mehmet.
O’Halloran seemed like a panic buy and for knows how he managed to get a 2 year deal, I’d rather of kept Jakubiak than MoH.

Wighton had a decent end to the league one season. He only had something like 4 goals before Xmas but then 12 after it. Can see why the club renewed his contract, thinking he`d carry that into the championship.
I wouldn`t be surprised to see him do well in the second half of this season. He may feel he has to play through whatever injury issues he has in order to get a contract here or elsewhere.

As will quite a few others in our team. Not that many full time teams lower than us in the pyramid these days.

Wighton is done for me. He’s a waste of a shirt at the moment.
I think we’ll be MoH’s last club. He’s always struggled with injuries so it bound to be catching up to him.
I liked Jakubiak as a player. He made a difference in holding the ball up and bringing the team forward-boy just can’t score 🤷🏻♂️ if you could rely on 10 goals a season from him, he’d be outstanding at this level but goals let him down.
How did Clay look? He’s 32 now tho-we’re only going to get a season or 2 from him. 🤷🏻♂️

It`s their overall play though. If watch wighton he stands behind a centre half constantly and never makes a run to get by him or a move to free himself for the pass. So it just looks like he's unavailable but just laziness. So his overall game is so poor. Kane just isn`t fit enough.

Even if Kane was fit on Saturday he wouldn`t have done anything else different on our strikers have nae chance.
If we had decent creative players I`m convinced Wighton would score plenty of goals as would Kane.

I wouldn`t say Wighton is "done". He`s only 27 so still has scope to improve. I`m sure he`s fully aware that he`ll be "done" in terms of his career if he can`t get some goals though. Maybe that`s a weight on his shoulders?

I think because of his height people expect him to lead the line but he’s just not natural at it. IMO he’s more effective when starting out wide

I reckon he was "done" about 2-3 years ago - not due to his lack of goals, but because he has 2 dodgy knees and therefore struggles with the physical demands of professional football. That said, I would be delighted to be proved wrong.

I think anyone would struggle to recover from knee operations. I don`t think CW as a player is done. I hope that after his period of injuries he can push on this season and score a few goals.

100 percent this. A lot of folk seem to get a lack of work rate or attitude mixed.up with a lack of ability. I think McCann gets it a lot. MOH was a danger with his pace now he has lost his main attribute he is not really any better than what we have which is why he doesn`t get in our 1st team. He will probably end up at an east Kilbride or somewhere when he leaves us.

I’m going to be honest, I definitely question his attitude. I like getting to games early and his attitude and body language in warm ups seems really poor. When the team are doing activation work and stretches, he seems to be putting in much less effort and taking things less seriously. This is a regular occurrence. They do leg swings, most players are swinging their legs quite high, he barely swings his leg above knee height. This theme continues through every exercise or stretch they do at the start of the warm ups.
That lack of application in warm ups is likely to contribute to the injury issues alluded to above as well. I’ve seen members of the coaching team and some of his teammates have a go at him during a lot of these exercises.
When he plays though, I don’t think his attitude or work rate is in question. He’s always given his all on the park, he just isn’t the player he used to be.

I think he will contribute to the team. He may not play every week, but he will be in training with the squad and contributing in that way. He is getting older, and anyone will tell you the older you get, the harder it is to keep training at the same level of intensity, and those injuries come back to hamper you.

I don`t think I could ever question Michael O`Halloran`s attitude or professionalism. He strikes me as a winner and always appears to me as if he is giving his all. He was fairly nippy at his peak and has lost some of that speed, that was a big part of his game. In that respect it must be frustrating for a professional sportsman when they can`t hit the same heights as their body used to take them to.
