How have they fared since relegation?
We struggled against them last year so this should give is a wee insight into oir progress
Unless they are significantly weaker than they were.

I haven`t noticed any major change to their squad other than Comrie, should be a reasonablemeasure of where we`re at.
I don`t wanna go down like disco.

HAMILTON ACADEMICAL
IN:
OUT: Jamie Barjonas (Airdrieonians), Euan Henderson (Airdrieonians), Lewis Latona (Livingston), Jackson Longridge (Greenock Morton), Sean McGinty (Airdrieonians), Connor Murray (Coleraine, loan made permanent), Chris Neeson (Albion Rovers), Daire O`Connor (Ballymena United), Arran Preston (Clydebank), Nikolay Todorov (Arbroath), Reghan Tumilty (St. Johnstone), Ricki Lamie (Ross County, end of loan), Charlie Telfer (Ross County, end of loan), Charlie Albinson, Gravine Kalala
They have had a `transfer ban` so not announced/signed Comrie.
I imagine they`ll field two trialists again tonight.

Thanks Jeffrey, I hadn’t appreciated quite how many Hamilton had lost. They’ll be much weaker than last season.

There`s about 7 starters in there that they have lost I think.

are they allowed to field trialists?
I’d hope not, it is a competitive fixture.

They still have some decent Championship-standard players like Robinson, MacDonald, Shaw, O`Hara, Connor Smith, McKinstry and have played Lamie as a trialist as well as Comrie. I think they want to sign Charlie Telfer too so he could feature as an alternative trialist.

I believe they changed the rule for the group stage this year so you can field two trialists per game for a maximum of 3 games per player.

Can play trialists but for them the players listed will be players who have agreed to sign but not able to be registered yet (Comrie)

I’m quite surprised they have kept a hold of shaw. I thought he’d be off. Hes too good for the seaside league.

I know I sound like I’m 14, and not 44…..but can anybody else not wait to get back to EEP tonight??
Honestly feel like a kid at Christmas today.
I am normal…….right?

76 and more optimistic than I’ve been since we were last in the Prem.
Lennie has his team playing attractive attacking football and after watching them away for the last two matches I can’t wait to see them at EEP on a brand new pitch.

Lenny said on Saturday there will be changes for tonight as some need minutes in their legs and a few were feeling the pain of early season aches.
I suspect that will be Bene, otoo, Kane, Gilmour. Maybe even JCM

Not gonna tempt fate by predicting a win or loads of goals.
But, I am excited to see us back on the new turf and give the fans something to shout about.
Last season was turgid stuff.

The football may very well get people excited, but I`d be more excited about tasting the new scran. Guaranteed quality as the new chaps go all out to impress with there culinary delights.

Thought Steven Bradley was decent the couple of times i saw Hamilton last season, particularly the final game against Falkirk when it was on TV.
Interesting to see how he does against us if selected.
