Hearing that we are close with Sheffield for a deal for highly rated winger/striker! They only signed in January and is very highly rated however they do not have enough permit spaces in their squad to register new signings...
It was James Bords Company that Identified the player for them last January, Could be a real statement signing that!

An AI driving February signing who hasn`t featured at all. Taking up a work permit space, they need shot of him, looks like no one is interested so he`s getting punted up here.

Maybe not ready for that level but should do just fine in the Scottish Championship, they made a big deal when he signed for them.

Given they spent about 1.5 million to bring him in and it would have to be a permanent transfer, I can`t see it.

As long as he doesnt cost much and isnt the Striker thats been touted because his strike rate in the Peru league is Meh at best! And i’d doubt the Perubian league is better than ours

8 goals and 6 assists in 24 games - for a side who missed out on the title by 2 points. Seems reasonable to me.
Has also played in the Copa Sudamericana and Peru u23s.

If we sign him it wouldn’t officially be a loan deal but it is that in effect.
Pars would sign him for a nominal fee but should he be a success at Dunfermline, they have first right to buy back or failing that, have a huge chunk of a sell on fee.

It might be a case of using the 2 clubs to their advantage. Sell him with an option to buy back once things are settled if he has performed well.

This deal would cost an absolute fortune. There must be some jigerry pokery behind the scenes to make this happen.
This will be Istvan Kozma type money.

We can’t possibly know that, based on his experiences to date. If he comes, we just have to hope he can do a turn for us.

I worked for about 15 months in Peru many years ago. You will see people on football pitches in Lima playing football at all hours of the night.
Taxi drivers only ever mentioned two things, how they beat us in the world cup in 1978, and Alan Rough for his long golden locks.
I remember a great goal by Cubillas that caught Roughy out.

I know nothing about the guy but you would imagine playing for a side challenging for the Peruvian title, he must be fairly decent. For Sheffield United to pay £1,000,000 for him, they must have thought he had some potential. Fair enough, he hasn`t got into their team, but that`s a club that`s Yo-Yo-ing between the Championship and the EPL. Things moved fast there, if they have someone better that they need to make a place for, then, that can happen. It doesn`t mean he`s written off, and we could provide him with a platform to get back to that level.
By the sound of it, he`s a left winger, but right footed and can also play right wing, left midfield, attacking midfield or centre forward. Pretty versatile and if he`s good enough, those are areas that need strengthening.
It does worry me a bit, the whole relationship between clubs in a group. He could come here, do REALLY well and go to Cordoba or back to Sheffield United for free. Or could drop out the team and be sent to Sofia. I do worry that our club could just become second fiddle to some other club. Not much we can do about that I guess, so we will just need to hope that this set up works for all the clubs involved

Chris Wilder would have been the manager when Caceres signed. He was sacked in June and replaced by Reuben Selles who presumably thinks Caceres` visa would be better utilised to fill another place in the squad. It happens all the time in football when managers change.

Whilst I think we wouldn’t have to pay much in transfer fees, (James Bord is involved with both clubs), his wages will be an issue as I imagine he’ll be on quite a lot in Sheffield much more than we can afford.
Bord himself might subsidise his wages to make the move.

A fantastic deal for us potentially but I would imagine Sheffield United fans would be pretty peed off if a player they just spent over a million on is allowed to sign for a Scottish Championship side for almost nothing. Even if there`s a buy-back or sell on clause they`re unlikely to see that money back.

In any work place if there is a better preforming person in my opinion I wouldn`t have a problem with them being paid more!! It would make me want to improve and get to that level where I benefit financially.

That all depends how good he is though.
Other players seeing him on 8 times less wages would be p1ssed off if he doesn’t deliver.
On that subject , I’m assuming Wanyama was on a great wage but turned out to be useless on the pitch.

If we`re getting guys (even on loan) who have played a lot of games in Peruvian top flight, and signed up by 2nd tier/top flight English clubs, this in my books is outstanding.
The Blades are using the database, so this is serious stuff-its not Airdrie with Concilium.
We wait and see, but there`s not been anything wrong with any of our signings so far, usually you expect a few duds, or players where it just doesn`t work, not so far.

Nearly all of Bords signings last season were duds, including Wanyama. Young boys signed this season have a long way to go to prove anything.
Granted JCM, Gilmour and Amade look good, the rest jury’s still out

Sheffield Utd could sell him for a £1 to us, with a first refusal buy back for a £1.
If he plays regularly he gains some card or other up here. Then it doesn`t count against their slot number when he goes back.
Effectively a loan but needs to be a sale to not take up a slot.
Just taking that from what was on twitter
