Another good result for us as it maintains a comfortable cushion between the top four and the rest. It means that we can keep our eyes firmly focussed up the way rather than down for a while.
With us playing Partick, and Rovers facing United on Saturday, it is shaping up to be a very exciting weekend.

He`s had a fantastic start with a bang average squad. Hopefully it continues to falter for now, give ourselves a gap between as many teams as possible below.

Agree with EET. Big Dunc has done very well since he came in. ICT were rock bottom under Billy Dodds and looked like they were heading for League 1. In a short time, they closed the gap and before last night`s game, looked like the Pars most serious challengers for a play off place, of those teams below us in the table.
They might still be - one poor result doesn`t change everything.

That’s a good result for us. Morton will be trudging about the bottom 3 and ICT seem like the biggest threat to our chances of 4th place. Of course everything can change in an instant, especially in this league, but from what I have seen, out-with two horror bad days at the office, we look a good bet for finishing in the play-offs.

He’s done fine so far but the love in from the media was gettin far too much. Let’s see how he’s doing in a couple of months when his style has settled with the players, and he’s had a January to go thru. And let’s see if Wotherspoon hangs around too.

Visiting teams set up more defensively against us. We naturally find it more difficult to find spaces and sometimes lack the creativity to break them down.

Infuriatingly they’ve managed to do it again in the last minute and I’m not surprised. It’s becoming a habit. I can see them winning the league. They’ve got some squad mentality - similar to us last season when we won the league. I hate to say it but they’re the best team I’ve seen by far this season and unless Dundee Utd throw more cash in January, I can see them doing it if they stay clear of injuries to their key players.

Ridiculous number of injury time winners they`ve scored this season. It`s obviously not entirely down to luck, but most seasons you don`t get that many, regardless of how far on top you might be towards the end of the game. Every game they`ve won in the league this year has been by a single goal, and the one game they lost also had only one goal in it. That`s an incredible stat after this number of games.
As for tonight, I`m quite pleased that Arbroath didn`t win - just helps keep the pressure off us a bit with that extra gap to the teams at the bottom.

Steady on Buspasspar, with sentiments like that, you`ll get da no1 on your case. 😄 But due to family connections with the wee team and the pretentions of Dundee Utd, if we can`t win it, it might as well be the wee team.
And I agree with you Socks, the bigger the gap between us and the bottom two, the better. It`ll keep the grumblers at bay
and give us some room to express ourselves.

See the Rovers are keeping up their tin pot obsession over us by putting a top four graphic up on their social media channels but blurring out "Dunfermline". They could of course have listened put the top two or top three up, but they have to get their likes I suppose.

It`s a bit weird this season, though.
They`ve got their best side in nearly 30 years, fighting for the title, but their main concern seems to be that they`re ahead of us.
Flip it around and we`d be far more concerned about Dundee Utd`s predicament than theirs.

I`ve got to say, looking at their social media, they do seem to like to have a dig at us. It comes across as unprofessional in my opinion, looks a bit petty and emphasises their "wee team" mentality for all to see.
I guess they can have the bragging rights for their season in the sun, they still won`t be able to attract crowds when they are doing well that even comes close to ours when we are doing badly.

One of the funniest moments was listening to them lose a penalty shootout to get relegated by what turned out to be the worst Championship side in history. Them losing makes a Saturday a bit sweeter. Not happening much just now but what goes around comes around....

I`m pretty pleased just focusing on ourselves, after a really difficult time with injuries etc McPake has done a good job in guiding us through that period into 4th with a 4 point cushion and a game in hand. Still plenty to do and much of the season to go, but a positive start.
We have the 3rd youngest average age of squad in the championship and plenty of talent to develop as part of the long term plan. The training site being built will help the club entice players who may be 50/50 between us and another team who doesn`t have those facilities.
When we do go back up to the premiership, whenever that may be, it won`t be built on sand and it`ll give us the chance to remain there for an extended period of time

Well said fcda, I would dearly like the admin on here to get rid of the Wee Team fan exposed as baiting on here. Wee Team fans are the most greeting faced bawling bairns in the Championship. Personally I admit to noising them up at every opportunity as they to a man bite like Mackerel. They will never be forgiven for the songs they sang in the North East Stand about Norrie, the guy who started the sing song and posted on TikTok is a Rangers fan who plays for Fife Flyers but his mates did join in. Shame on them all the worst of the worst.

With the game at EEP, they scored a goal out of the blue but held on to the lead pretty comfortably thereafter. You could argue a draw would have been fair enough but it is a stretch to say that we should have won.
