I get how tough it is to sign these types of players but it is still really disappointing. We`re heading in to the 2nd game of the season with one fit striker. Every other team seems to be getting what they need. Given goalscorers are a premium, the board are going to have to dig deep. Just don`t see it happening and can see us relying on Cooper for goals when Kane is missing. Sigh.

All the speakers tonight say the same thing about our current squad ~ it’s all about money nowadays. They’re worried about the lack of actual strikers and a couple of seasoned pros. Points come from goals.

Actually hate comments like this as it suggests that the club is doing nothing about it, like the German’s regularly did. That’s probably not been the case and if it is, then I’m sure Lennon would have something to say about it.

I’ve suspected a striker coming from outwith Scotland for a long time now, and I suspect this will be the case. Obviously the Bulgarian striker was rumoured by various jurnos a few months back, we’ll really just need to wait and see.

I am back here in Oz, wishing that I could be at East End today to watch the Airdrie game.
I always loved that first home game of the season. It was so special - the sense of anticipation, and the inevitable question... what has changed?
I can almost taste the pie and the Bovril. However, the catering at EEP has changed, and now, perhaps, you will all be served prawn sandwiches and Chardonnay!
