Davie Hay
Davie admits that his side failed to start the game well and credits Kilmarnock with being the brighter side. . He explains that to go in level at half time would have gave them a chance to change it but before that Kilmarnock got what proved to be the winner. Hay feels that the team lacked the sharpness to get anything from the game which was disappointing given the result against Aberdeen the previous week. He takes no consolation in Livingstons loss but realises it makes life a little easier to have a club below Dunfermline loosing points.
Derek Stillie
Derek gives an explanation of the second goal as a misunderstanding between himself and Scott Thomson who felt he was under more pressure than he was. He also explains his positioning in the goal mouth during the free kick taken deep inside the area. Stillie is very disappointed at the performance having seen what the team could do against Aberdeen and he knows, as do the rest of the players, that it isn’t acceptable. He tells us that the teams dilemma doesn’t lie with either the forwards or the defence but that it’s a collective problem.
Scott Thomson
Scott admits that the team played poorly in the first half and lost two sloppy goals. He feels there was a slight improvement in the second half but nowhere near enough. He blames basic error for the first goal and believes that they need to work extra hard to stop early goals against them. Scott gives his view of the situation which brought about the indirect free kick and he also blames a misunderstanding between himself and Stillie. He concedes that almost any chance of gaining a top 6 place has all but disappeared and knows that their performance this season doesn’t deserve it anyway.
