Despite a lot of huffing and puffing it was the same old story for the Pars as they lost by a respectable 2-0 to a vibrant Hibs side.

Team news ahead of todays game:
There will be at least 2 changes to the team that started the game on Tuesday against Motherwell.
Stevie Crawford returns from suspension and will replace Jim Hamilton - who is suspended.
Stephen Simmons will probably return to the team after resting a hip injury. He will probably replace Freddie Daquin who is struggling with a hamstring injury.

The Pars got very little Christmas cheer with another home loss, this time to relegation rivals Motherwell. The transfer window cannot open quickly enough for Stephen Kenny to improve this squad.

Stevie Crawford misses the game due to suspension following his second yellow received against Inverness CT.
Mark Burchill is still highly doubtful following a calf strain received against St. Mirren.
Midfielder Stephen Simmoms again faces a late fitness test to see if his hip injury holds up.
All the team news will be up at approx 2.45pm.

Team news ahead of todays game:
There will be at least one change from last weeks starting line-up at Love Street.
Striker Mark Burchill who has signed a 1 year contract earlier in the week, will miss the game with a thigh strain.
Jim Hamilton has stalled an operation that he was due to receive so that he can provide striking cover over the next 2 weeks.
Midfielder Stephen Simmons is touch and go and will face a late fitness test.

Dunfermline are at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday afternoon, which sees a match that could well result in much more than just three points. If The Pars can finally break their SPL hoodoo over Inverness, then the momentum might just carry on to the following game against fellow strugglers Motherwell on Boxing Day. After that, who knows!

Step in the right direction, but Dunfermline lose out again….
After heavy defeats to both Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, Dunfermline lined up against runaway league leaders Celtic hoping to avoid a repeat of the 8-1 thrashing suffered when the teams last faced each other at East End Park.

Declan Devine arrives at the club this week to assist Pars gaffer Stephen Kenny just days after the two orchestrated a dramatic injury-time 4-3 win over St Patrick’s Athletic in the FAI Carlsberg Cup Final which was played on Sunday.
Craig Robertson will continue to assist in coaching the first team with the three of them working together in all aspects of the coaching.
