Today`s Outcome

Todays outcome of 25 votes to 5 to allow Newco to enter the SFl into the 3rd Division is the right thing to do.

Much has been said about the newco in Scottish football and finally the SFL have made their decision on how a new company should start a-fresh.

It should be noted that many Rangers fans seem to think that scottish fans were baying for blood for their new club. This is far from the truth, fans want any new club to be treated the same way as any other big or small club club would have been.

Precedence have been set in the past and there is no reason why this should have changed.

It should be remembered that oldco Rangers are being liquidated with a debt of £135 million, not a small sum. We are also rather concerned about the alleged loss of £4 million pounds since Rangers went into Administration. It is our undertsanding that a club in Administration should be working on a break even condition so how can this have occurred. Would Rangers have been able to complete their fixtures if this had been run properly and the club liquidated when it really should have been ?

Dunfermline should be looking to be the Club 12 in the SPL, despite the fact that many fans actually want to have the local derbies found in the First Division.

Proper investigations need to be carried out on this whole farce of adminsitration and rules must be put in place to stop other clubs abusing it.

Clubs and fans now must move on and its hopefull that this mess can start to galvanise fans to come out and support their club on a regular basis, we on DAFC.net will be doing our utmost to encourage fans along to East End Park - even more than we were doing in the past.
