Heroes of the Halbeath Road
Date: Wednesday, 11th Nov 2020The PST has launched a new Pars book today following another collaboration with Pars fan and author Mike Gibb. The book focuses on the significant contribution to our club of 7 men, spanning 6 decades and I`m sure it would make a welcome addition to any Pars fans` Christmas.
The book includes a foreword by Sir Alex Ferguson.
‘Heroes of the Halbeath Road’ is an affectionate, light-hearted and, on occasions, poignant look back at the lives and times of seven men who achieved legendary status with the Pars as players or managers and, in three instances, as both.
The book reflects on the careers of Charlie Dickson, Norrie McCathie, Stevie Crawford, Jock Stein, Bert Paton, Jim Leishman, and Scott Thomson while touching on the contributions of a host of other characters who have played their part in the history of our club.
The paperback is selling at £6.99 and can be purchased in the club shop at East End Park, online via the DAFC Online Shop, in Waterstones in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre and WH Smith in Dunfermline High Street.
