The Lothian 68
Author: Dave Clark Date: Monday, 28th Oct 2002The Lothian 68 are an Edinburgh based Dunfermline supporters club attracting pars fans from all over the Edinburgh and Lothian districts.
The club was reformed in 1996 (after having previously been active in the 80’s) and has successfully been running buses to games as well as organising many functions such as race nights, player of the year dances with guest speakers and various other activities.
The club has members of all ages and always caters for and ensures that our pre match stops are hotels or clubs that welcome families. Most of our members have been with us from 1996 or date back to the original club. In fact many of our current supporters have grown up with the club, (you know who you are, we would like to think we have been influential in your upbringing, but take no responsibility for your downfalls)
We always welcome and encourage new members (the more pars fans the better), people do move out of the district from time to time, we are proud of the fact that some of our current members travel from Fife and other area’s including Falkirk, (yes Falkirk!!) to continue to travel with us.
We will be having an open evening which will include a quiz night with players on the 19th of November at the Café Royal function suite in Edinburgh, start time 7.30pm. All potential, current and lapsed members are invited to attend. If you’ve not been for a while or if you would like to come along and meet the guys and the players we would love to see you there.
The Lothian 68 currently sponsor Lee Bullen and operate our own website at www.lothian68.co.uk
We can also arrange match tickets for all our members.
