Dunfermline Athletic administrator Bryan Jackson has accepted an invitation to meet fans at a Pars Convention. Organised by fans for fans, this special event featuring fun activities for the whole family and live music will be held at East End Park on Sunday, 26th May, from 2pm to 7.30pm.

Fans at the forefront of the umbrella supporters` group, Pars United, will also be available to discuss their plan to promote unity, encourage fan participation, and build a sustainable community club.

The Pars Convention will see fans return to East End Park exactly one week after the Pars` final home game of the season, the play-off final second-leg against Alloa, and the organisers are keen to stress how important this close season is to the future of Dunfermline Athletic.

One organiser said: "With the club still in administration and financial crisis, the ongoing fundraising effort is truly astounding. We hope the Pars Convention will provide a great day out for everyone who has contributed and everyone who will continue to contribute so generously, both in terms of time and money. The hard work and generosity deserves to be fully recognised and we want to send a huge message of thanks to everyone.

"We also want even more people to be ever more active. The more people we have working together for the well-being of DAFC the better. We will be delighted if the Pars Convention can inspire new Pars activity as we need to build the momentum throughout the summer. As we all know, we not only need to Save the Pars, we also need to Buy the Pars, and ultimately, Keep the Pars.

"Fans are desperate for information, so its great news that both Mr Jackson and leading figures from Pars United will be sitting down with fans for discussions. Building a consensus on how we all intend to work together in the best interests of the club`s long-term future is essential.

Alongside the Pars discussions, the entertainment lined up includes: a penalty kick competition, a quiz, stadium tours, supporters` club stalls, antics from Sammy the Tammy, appearances from club legends, and all sorts of family fun. In the Kingdom Suite there will be music from local acts including: Colin Cook, Wink and Albo, The Wingnuts, and Beatnic Prestige. Legends bar will remain open for anyone who wants to party on into the night at East End Park.
