Dunfermline FC As a Dissertation Topic

A 4th year student currently undertaking a dissertation at the University of Stirling is currently doing a thesis and wants the help of Pars fans, the focus of research is on fans perspectives of fan ownership.

From a Pars fan working on a University Thesis:

My supervisor and I believe that Dunfermline FC and the Pars Supporters Trust would make a perfect case study for my research. Having been to several Dunfermline games in the past as a fan of football, I am aware of the extremely loyal following the club has from a group of dedicated fans.

My research is into the perceptions of fans` perceptions of fan-ownership. I am looking to compare the views and motives of those fans who got involved in the Pars Supports Trust, with fans who have supported the Pars through and through for several years, yet chose not to get involved in the supporters trust and the movements leading to the phenomenal achievement of the Pars United CIC takeoever of the club Questions follow the lines of:

What does Football mean to you?

Why did you start supporting Dunfermline FC?

What are your opinions about football governance?

Why did you get involved with football governance? (or not in the case of non supporters trust members)
