Fixtures List

Author: Neil Farrell Date: Saturday, 26th Jun 2004

Unfortunately we can`t publish the full fixtures list as we haven`t paid the £250 or so for that privilege!

Instead the money will be spent(for the third season now), on Noel Hunt`s home top which I hope he wears a few more times than he did last season!

On first glance you always naturally look at the first fixture, which for this season is a home tie against Dundee United who are currently managed by former Par and the only man who properly filled Simon Stainrod`s shoes at Dundee...Ian McCall.

Next fixture that caught the eye will be a "warm" return to East End Park for the two Jimmys who strangely enough thought that a move up North was a step in the right direction. I wonder what Jimmy Calderwood will say about the surface should they get beat, (in amongst all the "wur passin` was poor...thought wur boys played tremendous...we lost our way...tremendous...very, very dissapointed...tremendous.)

All in all the first lot of fixtures looks as though we should pick up a fair amount of points prior to meeting one of the "terrible two" (JY).

October 2nd throws up the first interesting scenario with both Aberdeen and Inverness CT due to play at "home" on the same day...no wonder our League is a world laughing stock!

The festive season gives us two home games against Livingston and Dundee respectively which will hopefully draw in lots of ex-pats who will be back home to see their families, friends, etc.

Breakdown of games:

Aberdeen: Twice at home and once away.

Celtic: Once at home and twice away.

Dundee: Once at home and twice away.

Dundee Utd.: Twice at home and once away.

Hearts: Twice at home and once away.

Hibs: Twice at home and once away.

Inverness C.T.: Once at home and twice away (at Pittodrie).

Kilmarnock: Once at home and twice away.

Livingston: Once at home and twice away.

Motherwell: Twice at home and once away.

Rangers: Twice at home and once away.

This gives us 17 home games and 16 away games prior to the ridiculous top six/bottom six split.
