Happy New Year

A Happy New Year to all Pars fans around the world while we look forward to a better 2007 !

This last year has been another down year so we`re hoping that things progress better in 2007 for our new management team.

Over the festive period the fans at the games have been tremendous and shown a great deal of support even though results on the park have, to say the least, been disastrous. Stephen Kenny asked for more colour and over the last few games the fans have given great support during and after the games. Kenny himself appreciated that and came across to the 573 fans at Easter Road to thank them personally.

In difficult periods there is no point shouting and slagging on the forum, everybody is going to have to work together to help improve the situation. Constructive comments, are I`m sure, more than welcome. After all it is your own club, and you need to support it as much as you can. Some of the comments on the forum are again showing Pars fans in a poor light, although they are compensated for by quite a number of fans being constructive and still looking to help the team.

There is no way anybody in DAFC wants to go down to the First Division so they will be giving 110% (or probably more!) so lets see if this web site can provide support to help through these difficult times.

I`m going to start by some feedback in that at Easter Road on Saturday the cost for Pars fans to get in was £20. This contrasts with away (and home) fans cost of £23 at East End Park (for Class A teams, of which Hibs now comes into this category ??). DAFC should as a high priority look again at the pricing structure around the ground. I appreciate that income has to be generated but I`m sure in the long term these prices will stop people coming back.

Pars Online was kicked off at the start of the season to help fans with the cost, but the SPL as usual renegade on previous decisions they made on membership schemes. Hopefully, something can be resolved sooner rather than later on this subject.

This issue isn`t directly going to help the players on the park but it will help the fans coming through the gates which is probably what we want at this period.
