The 8th January 1996 will forever be etched in the memory of all Dunfermline supporters as the day they lost their leader and club Captain – Norrie McCathie.
His spirit and inspiration lives on in the form of the Norrie McCathie Benevolent Fund – a registered charity formed in 1997. The main aim of the fund is to bring Football development opportunities for children between the ages of 5 and 17, but it also provides support and help for other charitable organisations within the Dunfermline community.
With every year, the legacy of Norrie McCathie grows, as ever increasing numbers of talented youngsters from west fife benefit form high level coaching excellence that is supported by the fund bearing his name.
Please support the NMBF by coming along to the Dunfermline V Livingston match at East End Park on December 27th, where we will be holding a fund raising collection or alternatively if you are connected to a business then you may wish to consider sponsorship?
Your donations will help preserve the name of our "Mr Dunfermline", and we hope is an investment in our next "Captain Courageous"!!
