Parscelona play at East End Park
Date: Wednesday, 3rd Mar 2004On Sunday 7th March at 4pm Parscelona play Raith Rovers for the IFA Fife Cup.
The club was kind enough to give them use of the pitch and facilities for free however having taken a small fee from both sets of players for the game they are looking to make a donation of around £500 to the Pars Community Fund.
With none of the guys having played on plastic turf before it should be good to finally see what all the fuss is about.
Apparently the Main Stand Enclosure will be open for spectators and it will be free to get in so if you fancy coming along to support a Pars team against the Wee Team then here is your chance!!
Who or what is Parscelona?
It`s a football team... sort of.
Parscelona is an internet football team, that is to say that the team consists of fans who are all "online". This particular team consists of Pars fans from the Dunfermline Athletic e-mail discussion forum. But yes, we do play real games against real opposition with real footballs on real surfaces.
The idea is that teams of supporters from various lists arrange games against each other, and promote good relations between opposing football fans (or something like that).
