Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 24th Oct 2004Highlights from interviews given by Davie Hay, Jim Duffy and Barry Nicholson after the Dundee game.
Davie Hay
Davie is delighted with the result and feels that the players have redeemed themselves somewhat from the game against Livingston. He gives Dundee credit for pressing the Pars but is happy to say that his team showed character and resolve to win through.
Jim Duffy
Jim thinks his team started well and admits it was poor marking that let them down for the Pars first goal. He gives his players incentive by telling them they should go out and earn their place and keep it. Duffy does, however, credit Dunfermline’s work rate and knows his attackers were off their game in the match against a strong back line.
Barry Nicholson
Barry tells us how low he has been feeling lately with the teams results but is happy to have got an away win under his belt. He knows that the team showed a lot more character than last week at Livingston and acknowledges that’s what pulled them through. Nicholson praises Shields and Thompson for helping the Pars width, which was lacking otherwise.
