Highlights from interviews given by Davie Hay, Martin O`Neil, Darren Young and Scott Thomson after the Celtic game.

Davie Hay
Davie isn’t too disappointed at the result and acknowledges that its always going to be that bit harder against either of the Old Firm. He points out that the Pars did have a chance to score but doesn’t seem to dwell on it and explains that Celtic have always been strong at set pieces. Hay stresses that the performance, especially in the second half was competent but not good enough to seriously trouble the champions. He also gives an insight into the clubs plans for the transfer window but fails to give too much away.


Martin O`Neil
Martin is happy that his side took all three points and makes the point that it is a big win on such a treacherous surface. He expresses his delight at Petrovs strike for the Celts second goal and gives praise to Sutton for the first. O’Neil looks ahead to his winter programme and is adamant that it will be a hard run in before the Old Firm Scottish Cup clash.


Darren Young
Darren blames the loss of two cheap goals in the first half for their ultimate demise but credits his team with a good second half performance that, showed Dunfermline were still a good team. He is sure that this season’s problems can be rectified in training and that if they start getting the breaks they deserve the results will follow. Touching upon the loss of both Crawford and Brewster, Darren is eager to talk up the youngster at the club who he feels can do a good job for the Pars and cure the goal scoring dilemma.


Scott Thomson
Nipper starts with the old cliché of how teams must take their chances against the Old Firm and goes on to give his backing to the team, which, he feels, can still win matches. Scott is under no illusions about how much the side has missed Crawford and admits he would love to see the man back at East End Park but is unable to expose any information on a possible move. He also speaks of Barry Nicholson who has been linked with a move to Aberdeen and tells us that the club has told any prospective buyers that the midfielder is not for sale.
