Jesper Christiansen gets short-term deal
Author: Neil Farrell Date: Thursday, 30th Dec 2004Under fire Pars boss Davie Hay has made his second signing Jesper Christiansen. The former Kidderminster Harriers striker aged 24 has been given 4 weeks to prove he is the answer to the Pars striking problems following injurys to Simon Donnelly, Derek Young, Noel Hunt and Billy Mehmet. This on top of losing Stevie Crawford in the summer and Craig Brewster last month to play/manage Inverness C.T.
Christiansen, a 6ft 3in Dane, played for Kidderminster Harriers earlier this season, but left the club following the departure of manager Jan Molby the former Liverpool player.
Pars Chairman John Yorkston said: "We are signing Jesper for 28 days, just to see how things go.
"We have a spate of injuries at the moment and it gives Davie Hay a chance to see him in competitive action."
"His contract will end a couple of days before the end of the transfer window, so that, if we don`t want him for longer, he won`t be tied to us and he`ll have the chance to go elsewhere."
"Davie has two or three irons in the fire in terms of strikers, although it would be fair to say Crawford is our first choice."
All the team here at www.DAFC.net wish Jesper all the best in his time here with the Pars.
