Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Saturday, 5th Mar 2005Highlights from interviews given by Davie Hay, Simon Donnelly and Scott Wilson after the game at EEP against Hearts.
Davie Hay
Davie feels that his side were the better and more creative in the first half and having taken the lead thought they could have added to it. His view of the penalty is that it was a debatable decision but that his team just has to accept that and get on with it. Davie also tells us that appealing to the SFA never really worked for him and that he doubts they will back down because Hearts appeals of Wednesday night.
Simon Donnelly
Simon feels that Dunfermline did well in the first half and thinks they shouldve had a bigger lead going in at half-time. He talks of his own performance and stresses that he is still trying to get his fitness back and as a result, tired towards the end of the game. His opinion of the penalty is that it was harsh but doesnt believe that hearts appeals over the Rangers game had any bearing on the decisions.
Scott Wilson
Scott is very agrieved at the penalty decision given against him and tells us how Lee Miller agreed it was a bad call by the referee. He is even more dissapointed after all the effort the team put in to only come away with a point because of a weak penalty decision. Having scored the goal, Scott outlines the teams attacking problems and realises that the goals need to start coming from somewhere.
