Highlights from interviews given by Davie Hay, Craig Brewster and Scott Thomson after the game at EEP against Inverness.

Davie Hay
Davie believes that Dunfermline played with a lot of conviction in the first half and should have gone on to win the game early with the chances created. He feels that nervousness may well have crept in and hindered the Pars second half performance with the game being such an important fixture the side did not want to lose a goal. Davie realises that every game from now on will be massive and the club will just have to take each one as it comes. The main problem Davie outlines is the fact that the side is lacking a consistent goal scorer and he admits that he doesn’t care who scores or how they score but that goals need to come.


Craig Brewster
Craig denies that the game was a case of two points dropped and explains that his side were very poor in the first half against some stern Dunfermline resistance. He puts much of the blame on himself for the poor first half performance, gives credit to the Pars for making it difficult and is happy to win another point away from home. He believes that Dunfermline have the players to get out of the drop zone but also points out that the other clubs to have top class players that can produce on the day and with four games to go he states that its ‘game on’.


Scott Thompson
Scott doesn’t feel the pressure of the drop and tells us that he has been in this situation before. As an experienced captain he tries to pass on as much help to the youngsters as possible, especially Ian Campbell who has made a solid place in the first team. He touches upon the lack of striking prowess in the team and picks out Crawford and Brewster as two great losses to the team. Scott is confident that the club can avoid the drop and he personally doesn’t think about relegation when on the park or in the dressing room and believes his team mates are much the same.
