Highlights from interviews given by Jim Jeffries, Jim Leishman and Willie Young after the game against Kilmarnock.

Jim Jeffries
Jim begins by giving some praise to retiring referee, Willie Young, who took charge of the match, crediting him for his attitude towards players and managers alike. Jim is very happy at getting the seventh place that the club had targeted having been placed in the bottom six. He looks at many of his players who are out of contract and is delighted that many want to stay for the spirit at the club if not the wages.


Jim Leishman
Jim talks us through what he said to the players on the pitch at full time explaining that it was far from a telling off and more of a thank you. He believe that the players had given their all in the past two games and as a result were ‘dead on their feet’. Jim tells us that saving the Pars from relegation and more financial turmoil in the first division is the biggest thing he has achieved in his football career. He gives credit to Kilmarnock who, according to Jim, caught a Pars side that had given its all to save the club and couldn’t give anymore on the day. On the transfer front he believes the club can secure two players very quickly and explains that Nicholson is almost certain to leave the club in the close season, despite wanting the player to stay. Craig Robertson gets a massive vote of confidence from Leish despite speculation that the club was looking to bring in another right hand man.


Willie Young
Willie is jovial as he starts off explaining that he has no idea what he going to do with his time away from the game. However, he has looked at possibly becoming a mentor and coach in the referee profession to give young ref’s some experience. Willie tells a story of how Jeffries and himself first came into contact, they get on very well and have mutual respect. He is very happy at the gesture from the players who gave him a guard of honour as he came onto the pitch.
