Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 30th Oct 2005Highlights from interviews given by Craig Robertson and Craig Wilson after the game against Motherwell at EEP.
Craig Robertson
With Jim having to visit family in hospital it is Craig Robertson who takes the interviews. Craig sums up the game, in the words of his adversary Terry Butcher, as being a game that for 60 minutes Motherwell were no where to be seen, until a wonder goal brings them into it. He feels that it happens all too often that The Pars are playing well until they get hit with a goal and the heads drop. The lack of goals is the obvious problem but Craig doesn’t blame the strikers and believes they are working hard and doing well, he also singles out Thompson as having a good game until he is hit with a rib problem. Craig places a lot of faith in luck and feels that Dunfermline just haven’t been getting the breaks that their play deserves and when your at the bottom, ‘nothing goes for you.’
Craig Wilson
Craig too cites the ‘wonder goal’ that brought the game crashing down around the team. He also mentions how Tod could have had a goal if it hadn’t had been for a good save at the other end. Although he is pleased to be given a chance he knows that it doesn’t get any easier for the team as they travel to Inverness on Saturday, he hopes to retain his place but admits that more experienced players will be returning from injury.
