Pudsey`s Walk of Shame

Date: Tuesday, 14th Nov 2006

One of our regular posters recently made a very very rash decision stating that Levein WILL BE the new Pars manager (or I`ll walk naked to Starks Park he said).

As a regular contributer on the dafc.net messageboard, Pudsey recently made a bold prediction regarding the likely result of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club`s search for a new team manager - he felt certain that former Cowdenbeath, Hearts, Leicester, and (briefly) Raith Rovers boss Craig Levein was the man in line for the job. However his assertion that...

"if Levein doesn`t come to EEP I will stroll e**e naked fae here to Starks Park,"

...has now come back to haunt him in a fairly serious way...

With Mr Levein opting to work for Dundee United instead, Pudsey`s bravado has left him in a rather awkward spot - do the walk and risk freezing (or worse - it is Kirkcaldy after all...), or back down and lose any respect he had managed to acquire among his fellow Pars fans. Like the real man he is, he`s opted for the first option, and will indeed be doing the walk - for charity of course!

With a username like that, there was a very obvious choice of which charity it would be - and so on Saturday November 18th (which just happens to be the day after Children In Need Day), PudseyPar along with as many fellow dot.netters as can be gathered will be walking the 11.8 miles from Starks Park, Kirkcaldy to East End Park, Dunfermline (yes it was meant to be the other way round, but there`s a home game to be at that day... against Craig Levein`s Dundee Utd!)

Sadly the `law of the land` means nudity will not be a feature, but rest assured that Pudsey`s attire will be unflattering at best! So please dig deep and sponsor this walk online!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to be a sponsor: BBC Children in Need will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
