St. Johnstone Post Match Interviews

Highlights from interviews given by Jim McIntyre, Derek McInnes and Stephen Glass after the game against St. Johnstone at EEP.

Jim McIntyre
Although Jim gives credit to the two "world class" strikes that sunk his team, he is unhappy about the lead up to the winner which he felt saw the ball leave the field of play on the near touch line. It was a tight, hard fought game and the manager acknowledges this but thinks the home side could well have gone in at half time a goal up. On the injury inflicted by Stephen Glass on Kevin Moon, Jim doesnt see a foul in the incident as its a case of momentum causing the collision he does however admit that the Dunfermline midfielder caught his opposite number. McIntyre fully expects both Dunfermline and St.Johnstone to be up fighting for the title come May.

Derek McInnes
Derek is happy to get another 3 points on the board and even more so with a win at East End Park which he realises is a hard place to come. Plaudits are given to the home side who, according to McInnes are a very tough team to beat. The injured Kevin Moon was taken to hospital with breathing problems after a kick in the chest in the incident with Glass but it is not expected to be as bad as was perhaps first thought. Liam Craigs wonder strike was a goal to win any game but the Saints manager is adamant that it was a team performance that won the game.

Stephen Glass
Stephen doesnt feel he deserved a booking having collided with Kevin Moon but admits he is sorry about the outcome of said collision as his counter part seemed to be in a bad way. The main thing for the Dunfermline man is that Moon is O.K. and recovers well. Away from this, the game was a good one according to Glass but is dissapointed that the result went against them following two excellent solo goals.
