Clyde Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 21st Dec 2008Highlights from interviews given by John Brown and Jim McIntyre after the game against Clyde at East End Park.
John Brown
Brown is livid about the penalty decision which he feels went a long way to costing his side all three points in this eight goal thriller. He does, however, admit that defending wise his own team were to blame for throwing away the game in the end. The teams performance was at times excellent and John is happy with this despite the scoreline. The clubs budget is a sticking point for Brown who finds it difficult to compete with the bigger clubs spending and is left to trawl the amateur leagues looking for talent rather than spending hundreds of thousands of pounds, but something seems to be working at Broadwood.
Jim McIntyre
Jim was limping heavily after the game following an injury to his calf, he admits he rated himself as fifty-fifty for the match but felt he needed to take the risk given the situation. Although he doesn`t feel that his team played nearly good enough he is happy to escape with a point, but things will have to change, especially at home. At the end of the day, Jim expects his side to win games in which they score four goals, but the manner in which they conceded was very disappointing.
