Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 11th Jan 2009Highlights from interviews given by John Brown and Jim McIntyre after the Scottish Cup game against Clyde at East End Park.
John Brown
John doesnt seem overly dissapointed with the defeat and felt his side dominated the second half with a good footballing display in terrible conditions. He doesnt believe Clyde deserved to go any further because their play in the final third wasn`t good enough but over all he was happy with the team performance and attitude. The Clyde side are a very young team and John admits that his opponents today had a more experienced line up which helped them progress.
Jim McIntyre
Jim never thought that his side was home and dry throughout the game, he gives credit to Clyde who looked dangerous throughout but is happy that the team managed to get goals at the right times in order to progress reletively comfortabley. The manager has no preference which team he gets in the next round but admits that one of the Old Firm might help bring in revenue to use on players, which is no bad thing. New loan signing, Jamie Mole, made his debut from the bench and Jim is happy at his performance as he added a bit of pace and presence up front, which caused the defence problems.
