DAFC Open Day 2009- 17th May 2009
Date: Thursday, 14th May 2009Dunfermline Athletic Football Club are holding their annual Open Day, this Sunday the 17th May.
DAFC opens its doors to fans and local families for a fun day on the pitch at East End Park at 12 noon with admission £2 for adults and under 16’s go free.
This great day out caters for everyone and can be enjoyed by the whole family with a BBQ and beer garden for the adults and ice-cream, bouncy castles and face painting for the kids. AS a great new addition the Army will be bringing along there Assault Course and we have secured a mini fairground with a number of rides.
Adults and kids can also try their luck at our Crossbar Challenge, Shooting Skill Test or Speed Test, plus there will also be the chance for fans to meet their favourite players and there will be a number of past players including Roy Barry, Jim Bowie, Bonar Mercer, Kenny Thomson and Kenny ward are coming along too.
Attendees will also be treated to a variety of stalls and demonstrations from the likes of DAFC’s Community teams, Beautique beauty salon, the Scottish Keepieuppie Champion, Fife Fire and Rescue Service, the Pars Supporters Trust and the DASC . The Centenary Club will also be giving tours of the Stadium and Kingdom FM will be bringing along their road show as well as providing the music for the day.
We had well over 2000 attended last year and it proved to be a huge success with all attending thoroughly enjoying themselves.
