Inverness Post Match Interviews
Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Saturday, 8th Aug 2009Highlights from interviews given by Jim McIntyre, David Graham and Terry Butcher after the game against Inverness at East End Park.
Jim McIntyre
Jim is happy with his team and proud of the way they performed and fought throughout the match. He is very dissapointed at the state of the pitch, as the long grass prevented his players passing the way they can but eventually it was a wonder strike that cost them the game. With almost every team looking to challenge at the top the manager is pleased with the players attitudes and commitment and he hopes they will be up there too.
David Graham
David is looking to take the positives out of the game, as he believes the better team lost and will be happy if the side play like that every week. He wants himself to do more by adding goals to his game and working hard on creating the chances to score. The poor home record continues but David is adamant that the players showed the fans what they are working towards and the fans in return showed their appreciation.
Terry Butcher
Terry is thrilled to leave with three points which he admits they didnt deserve in an entertaining game. He is happy with and for the fans as their small numbers made plenty of noise throughout the match but doesn`t feel that the second half gave them much to shout about as Dunfermline piled on the pressure. Butcher gives the Dunfermline fans credit for applauding the losing team off the park and that with the strength of the teams in the first division it will be far from a two horse race.
